Love ya! And I know, my parents have outdone themselves. I wanna live in just that room!
"April is the cruelest month, breeding Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing Memory and desire, stirring Dull roots with spring rain." -T.S. Eliot of course of course. Black Spring, Henry Miller, black indeed but not humorless. At once witheringly sorrowful, heart rending, puissant, ecstatic, joyous, traitorous and compassionate. Thoreau's Walking is wonderful as you well know.
so much quality content has been served lately, we thank you queen

She’s rebirthing
The Secret Garden is super springy in so many ways. I didn't think I'd like it but I found it beautiful

Ohhh yes. I feel like so many books like that are good for this list. I haven’t read many 😳
For me spring is for classics and Japanese translations. You‘re fabulous 💐
One Hundred Years of Solitude has been sitting, unread, on my bookshelf for many, many springs! Maybe I should finally read it before sumner arrives. (If it ever does here in northern England.)

You absolutely should!! It's such a wonderful escape of a book, I re-read it in the peak of last summer and it was the most magnificent experience, although the previous two times of reading it were during the spring months and it's definitely a suitable time for it too :)

It was the case for me too, but then I dared to pick it up from my shelve. And… it’s one of the best reads for me so far. ✨
That gorgeous house, omgoodness. Books inspired by objects, walls, angles of the house pls.
A customer asked me for this book and although I didn't know it before that, when I picked it up and read the blurb it really sparked my interest. You talking about it now is the divine sign I was waiting for to buy it! Thank you goddess of books 🤩
100 Years. Omg one of the best books ever written, I love it ❤❤
Mary Oliver’s poetry and “Upstream” are spring 🦆 Thank you for the video 🤍

I just commented to say the same thing!
I will never stop talking about how much I enjoy YOU and your channel. I've found a gem :)
For spring poetry, off the top of my head I think Mary Oliver and Walt Whitman would both be perfect.
Returning to this video once again. Happy Reading! 😎📚👍
Yayy I loved your winter recommendations and I’m very excited to read some of these ❤

Poetry is right, right? Glad I’m not alone in that thought
Ngl I think I’m going to start saying smorgasborg instead of smorgasbord going forward because it sounds so much more fun 😂 I love love love your videos ❤️
you do remind me of Susanna Hoffs, lead singer of the Bangles, who were considered Pioneers of Rock and Feminine Power ---> that too as you rock the book recs!
omg i got Pedro Paramo last year, i didn’t get to read it yet but it seems super interesting
Thanks!

Omg! Wow, thank you so much. That really helps out :)
The background set up here is delicious.
OMG WHAT IS GOING ON WHY ARE WE BLESSED WITH ANOTHER VIDEO FROM OUR QUEEEEEN
Oh my gosh, is it my birthday!?! Well, it's 5 days early but I'll take it! A phenomenal video, great recs, I was really happy to see some "poetry" on the list ;) . I just read the Trial by Franz Kafka, but I feel like that is an Autumn book.... I think the most springtime book I own is Madame Bobary but in a very depressing way. Perhaps also the Last Unicorn, and the Cherry Orchard? Lots of great stuff there is! Also, I met Ocean Vuong in Lillehammer last year and I can tell you that he has the most lovely speaking voice. He was in a chapel, and there was a blue dome behind him that made him look as though he were reading in front of a starry sky. It was gorgeous.

@@AnaWallaceJohnson It was at the Lillehammer literature festival! I gave him some of my poems- I doubt he ever read him but it was fun as hell. He really does talk like that in conversation too!
leaves of grass by whitman would be an amazing read for spring!
Funeral for microphone on Wednesday 😂
Your house is so pretty and vintagy (if that's a word) ❤
Not me discovering you and binging all of your videos instantly 👁️👄👁️ The aesthetic is simply perfect (as are the recs💅) What do you use to edit your videos?💖

Pedro Paramo is one of the best books of Latin America, i hope that you like it!
you are so cool you remind me so much of scout dixon west
Sorry, could not focus..just sad here wondering how on earth I missed that "the most magical book i've ever read" video. Going to watch it now
I thought you were going to include spring by Ali smith (not that I’ve read it) or is that too on the nose
You and your hair could be in the same band as Justine Bateman, Julia Roberts, Trini Alvarado, and Britta Phillips in the film "Satisfaction" (Joan Freeman, 1988).
Where did you get that necklace? 😍
