I used to volunteer at a parrot rescue and I blame that exact cacophony for the hearing loss I have. 😭💀

I like how you have the nice mics and they pick up super well on how damn loud parrots can be. A lot of "you sure you want a parrot???" videos that feature them screaming don't really demonstrate the reality of the sound. Yeah I can handle a cockatoo going off when the audio sounds all nice and not fuzzy and stuff. Cuckoo on the other hand made some really unpleasant audio (even if he himself is a delight and I hope his mom gets him back soon, it's so hard escaping an abusive relationship by yourself but to add a pet? damn!). And Indigo flashing us was too funny! Also who the fuck keeps a parrot at a dog fighting ring?

Oh my goddd. I find birds to be incredible animals. I know some dogs can be vocal and "talk." but birds can actually whistle and imitate us.

Cool seeing spotlight put on other bird species. I know toucans are the focus of the channel but it's cool seeing parrots and other birds. I hope they get the best support!

The blind birds are really stressed, especially the indigo one, she is pecking all her feathers out and that is why she went into that position - to pull the feathers.

I like parrots/birds the same way I like dogs. It's nice to visit someone else's well cared for well behaved animal(s). I wouldn't want to have to take care of one myself. I'm just not up for that level of commitment.

As a relatively new resident of the Houston area, I'm still often amazed at how big this metro area is. Technically, I live "just outside Houston" (I live near Kemah), but this place is literally directly on the opposite side of Houston from me, an hour and a half drive away! 😂 If I had my own car, I would still consider driving out to meet you, but that would be WAY too expensive of an Uber ride for me, lol.

Poor darlings its so sad some of them are blind.its awful how expensive vets are.surely if they really cared they wouldnt charge so much.
