These are really cool, especially the Japanese radio R2-D2. The mailbox is cool too. 😁

I never saw that radio before. I admit that as a kid I would have loved having one. The Lucasfilm fan club had a C-3PO and R2-D2 clock in the early 90s. That one looked like fixed-pose Kenner action figures on the base. I haven't seen one since, so I can assume it's rare today.

That R2-D2 radio is awesome. I don’t know if they made one yet or not, but one that you could hook up your MP3 player or phone to play music off it through an updated version of the R2-D2 that could do that and play AM/FM radio too.

I never saw the radio. My wish was the click control R2 my cousins had. We figured out it would change directions without the remote by shouting at it. cousin 1: "Go to the porch!" (turns) cousin 2: "Go to Siam!" (turns) me: "Go to hell!" (cousins go tell on me) These were the cousins I didn't like.

So that's what the Junkman's house looks like. Cool. I assume your Jeep is in the garage?

My dad used to modify our little AM radios and turn them into walkie-talkies. One of those R2-D2 radios became a walkie-talkie!

Artoo is my favorite character, but you are correct. I never saw any of those. But, Junkman, I have something for you. The post office offered a download of a paper doll version of the Artoo mailbox, and it looks really good. You were close on the date. It was for the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars. You print it on shiny cardstock, cut it out and tape it, and you end up with one that is about 6" tall. I found the pdf, and I will send it to you for the price I paid for it. Which is to say, free of charge. Figure you can post it on your social media or something. I just found your email, so I am sending it to you. 😃

4:37 _Acktshually,_ The Bee Gees classic _'Stayin' Alive'_ charted quite well in Japan and was a radio fan favorite in requests.

Right now, Im in Rome Italy on vacation, having breakfast at a 4 star restaurant. You know with espresso, white linen napkins etc. And posted up on my table is my iPad so I can watch videos while I eat. My waiter looked at me like, what the heck are you doing, so I looked back at him and said, YO!! It’s The Junk Man son!!! 😅

I remember the R2 Am radio from Coca Cola, a family friend who worked for coke was station in Japan and for Christmas he mailed over the R2 radio to me. It was a blast.

Didn't know that that radio was kenner. I passed on one last winter because it was an our away and the weather was bad that week....it was like $30. They aren't all that expensive if they are out of the box and have a bit of yellow going on....which they mostly all do.

That was cleaner than a skeeter's peter... or Skeeter Peterson.

Seen pictures of the Coca Cola R2 Radio, but never seen the Kenner one. Definitely need one of those vintage C-3PO and R2 clocks! Always think they missed a trick by not making an R2 swing top bin.

I really liked that Japanese R2 radio. Nothing against the Kenner R2 radio, but Japan goes above and beyond. I've said it a 1000 times, leave it to Japan to make cool detailed items of good quality. A nice little added detail, the Coca-Cola and the Star Wars logo on the retractable leg. Thanks for the video

No I only had the Kenner R2. And I am very fond of that toy, which I no longer have. Had an Artoo popcorn maker from Disney, it's in the trash it died.

I've never seen one of those before, I can't even remember seeing it in any of Sansweets books! The reason you can't understand a word of the Japanese song is probably because it's in Japanese. Personally, I can't understand a word the Bee Gees are saying, they sing too high, but the dog howls along if they come on the radio. 😂

Shocked me when I saw it a few weeks ago. I thought I seen every Kenner made item

I lost count of how many times "R2D2" was said; vid felt like today tvshows that keep repeating same thing for years I've been searching for a wind up r2d2 that came with accessories; but I could never find that r2d2; I don't even remember the r2d2 walking, only rolling; I saw this r2d2 when the kid next door was showing his r2d2 to his friends; only time I've seen this r2d2; no collectors have ever seen or heard of this r2d2; then I remembered when he showed that pacman boardgame he made with wood; he must have customized that r2d2... never thought that r2d2 would be a story in here... and, wow, I was going to say that I still didn't find the spideymobile that came with the hulk, but finaly google found it; made by MegoCorp
