It's mostly because when you play, you don't know that there is a winning move. When you play a puzzle, for exemple, you search for a winning idea cause you know there is one. Ingame, there is nothing to tell you that you're winning.

gr8 vid, earlier i'too used to repect my opponents rating so damn much, past 12 days, i'm not calculating fancy variations and 'm just looking for the next best move ahead! hahahahh, the other player see all this drama and sometimes offers draw by himself

I played a chess game against my chess coach, and when I analyzed the board, I should have put my QUEEN ON THE PIN TO THE KING, and SAC my knight to save the game. You are completely correct why people play the most obvious move first

I found all puzzles correctly! (1040 rapid) although i couldnt say the same for 4th/last puzzle because i accidentally saw the 1st move because i didnt know when to stop. I saw the future moves though. Was pretty difficult! Took me a couple mins to solve. Also, thanks for the advice! I definitely have been making some mistakes mentioned in the video which is probably why im pretty low. Again, thanks for pointing it out so i can look for those mistakes in the future, ill add some progress if i ever get some.

These puzzles were nice, but i think it would be cool to make a video to help higher rating players, because it's more and more difficult for me to find a good one since i'm 1700 in blitz. I find your videos very instructive and i really like this channel, so i ask you this. Maybe a video where there are a couple of positions and we need to determine if there is a winning move, idk.

Same, i'm 2000 and cannot find proper tips on that level. This video was instructive as it is mistakes i could ve seen in puzzles, but not in the game

You forgot in first position that white can play Kxg7 yes black can take the Queen but after all these captures happen white take Bishop and rook which is 5+3= 8 points a Queen is 9 points so meterial is equal

So i also need to be defended and allways dont be greedy

In the second one I didn't see the best move, but I saw ...Rc1+. Its not quite as good, you don't get the pawn, but does result in a playable rook trade. 2. Rxc1 Rxb8.

In first scenario after bishop g1 you can just go with queen h3 thereby attacking the queen and preventing mate. If rook takes rook u take queen if queen take take queen u still lose ur rook but you wont get mated + he doesnt have a queen

I am a 1100 rapid with a 0 fide rating here is my results in this video 1. I saw Bg1 instantly somehow 2. I saw Rxa2 too somehow 3. AND Re6 TOO??? 4. And Nxf2 Damn

at 6:09, i was thinking Nxe3, and i imagine the same forking principle applies. would this idea work?
