    I eat blue berries, grapes, pineapple, watermelon, and bananas each day with breakfast now. Before this year, I never ate fruits with breakfast. At 75, I can see a big difference in my health.

    Thank you for your comment! Some fruits are high in salicylates, which can pose issues for those sensitive to them. Individuals with salicylate sensitivity may experience symptoms like headaches or gastrointestinal problems. It's important for them to identify and limit intake of high-salicylate foods under guidance from a healthcare professional.

    What about the fructose dangerous to diabetics?

  • @Nourish360-iw1ub

    @Nourish360-iw1ub

    Күн бұрын

    Thank you for your comment! Fructose can be dangerous for diabetics as it can raise blood sugar levels more quickly than glucose. High intake of fructose, especially from sugary drinks and processed foods, can contribute to insulin resistance and worsen diabetes control. Monitoring fructose intake is crucial for diabetics.

    If you’re going to eat fruit or veg…make sure it’s organic. Strawberries eg, are one of the worse for chemicals being sprayed during growing

  • @rosemarykennedy5430

    I was going to say something similar. Using ever-increasing amounts of pesticides throughout the growing process seems standard practice and the contamination can’t be washed off. Often “organic” might mean fewer rather than no pesticides as standards and regulations differ between countries.

    @@HaakonOdinsson Apeel coating is used worldwide and by all the big supermarket chains Aldi, Lidl etc. However, chemicals and pesticides seem to be used from the planting of the often GM seeds so they’re almost impossible to avoid. @@rosemarykennedy5430 not that expensive where I am in the uk to be fair. Example, I can get a steak in the supermarket or I can pay £3 more for a grass fed steak at a local butchers (who source their meats locally). Don’t smoke or drink either, so that saves money. I’m lucky though, lots of people don’t have access or are able to afford it. There is no APEEL in the lidl’s here in the uk, as far as I’m aware. Plus I know a couple of people who grow their own produce, GM free, organic. I try to eat as healthy as I’m able. Edit: just found out ASDA and Tesco are trialling APEEL here….i will avoid!
