Just had my exam for my back (ankylosis) on the 22nd. My examiner didn't use the tool to measure my back. She also tried to trip me up by asking me, how did I know I had ankylosis if I never had X-rays? My response "because the military diagnosed me 😏☺️" My exam was pretty quick. Although she didn't use the tool, when she told me to bend I barely moved. I'll come back with an update.

My last exam was in March 2024. The first thing the examiner asked was. "Were these not in your records? It's remanded." I had to explain to her the judge remand it back to the VA to get a rating. My records of my back injury were lost on active duty in 2009. It's always been noted that I had scoliosis going in prior 2005. The VA lost my records along with my buddy statements somewhere between 2015-2022. I was able to get new statements and now should be getting a decision here soon. I have 6 claims all dating back to 2012. My whole case was grandfathered into the new system.

My MH examiner never asked about history prior to Iraq deployment, talked about stressor statements, how I’ve been dealing with stuff daily and dreams I have. Was very pleasant, talked a little over an hour tele-exam, I didn’t really care if I got a rating or not basically. My VA records noted multiple times about stuff (non MH docs). VA and my VFW VSO (another veteran) actually talked me into just filing and just talk to examiner and see.

I submitted my BDD claim through a VSO with 14 things on it. My VSO said that he couldn't pull records for sinusitis/rhinitis with nosebleeds and a few other things.
