There was a classical music channel that got a copyright takedown over a piece written in the late 17th century a couple of weeks ago. What was different this time was the fact that the channel didn't get the option to appeal the takedown. The copyright AI has been broken for a while, but this is a new low.

2:36 I had one channel deleted/banned out of 5, same email *BUT* 3 still remain now. The second channel was banned/deleted about 1 week later. I strongly believe they manually review each channel under the offending email and remove what they deem to be also in violation.

Google/KZread uses Ai so doesn't that make them a hypocrite if they delete your channel for using Ai? 😂

This is precisely why I never put "key words" in video descriptions, on top of that, I don't even have a use for doing that any more than learning how to edit the footage pre-upload or making custom thumbnails (the second of which I rarely do).

Yeesh, there is so much in those terms that nobody ever reads. Thanks for the heads up, Marcus.

A couple of months ago KZread deleted a video I had posted just to test the system, it was named "wildlife" and it featured 30 seconds of various animals in their natural environment with some background music, nothing else. Reason was: violation of child protection policy. WTF!

Couldn't it be said that KZread has a monopoly... and isn't that illegal in the United States? After all, who does KZread compete with considering that they're attempting to shut down Tik Tok. Not to mention, that company (T&T) is in another Country, which leaves KZread as the only company in the US.

My KZread channel from 2006 with about 200k video views got deleted by JAGEX for copyright infringement. Funny now they allow RuneScape videos but back then, they did not. I am trying to motivate myself to get back into it.

I had a channel with 2 videos of cats just meowing in my face, and 2 years after the videos were made my channel got deleted. (With no strikes, or anything)

And that’s why after studying these 14 “do not do’s”, keep a backup of your videos. Good luck… and definitely be careful.

These are true but all of this can back fire if certain people just report you just because or suddenly give you 3 copyright strikes even from ur old videos even after you had permission. youtube needs to fix the copyright policy instead of certain random people copyright ur stuff when its ur own content

That's true, people can just report you. But I've actually seen a decent success rate of people getting their channels back after they've been deleted, if youtube reviews the channel and no rules were broken

I post a lot of AM radio dx listening, and have had a few with music get copyright hits. They weren't deleted, and I didn't get actual account strikes, but I do wonder one thing: do they really think there is any monetary value in music videos that are so full of static and noise that the average person would say "oh that sounds so awesome, I'd pay for it?" 😮

I once got 2 strikes for posting "Geometry Dash Ad", which was a joke video, I just didnt name it correctly, thank god I only tried uploading it twice. (Also this was like 2 years ago so idk if they were strikes or something else)

What if this video gets deleted because it literally has all the things that could do to get a KZread video banned.

My goodness. Thank you. YT had my channel deleted. They claimed I was spamming in the comments. During that time, I had not been on YT in 2 years. So I had no idea as to what they were referring to. Fortunately, I am back on. ❤

There are ways to transfer channels but it’s risky can accidentally delete all your content. There are some good videos how to do it. I’m not sure if your subs stay connected tho. Search it should find some good videos. I looked it up a couple years ago. Lots of content in regards to it. 👍🏻

Regarding videos about illegal drugs. I recently came across a KZreadr whose channel mostly dealt with illegal drugs and their effects on the body, even describing his own personal experiences with some of them. But in every one of his videos, he specifically tells users NOT to try any of the substances he discusses, and in many of them he also mentions that he spent 4 years in prison due to drug-related offenses. Clearly the channel is meant for educational purposes, and certainly NOT to promote the use of illegal drugs... but I still have to wonder how many of his viewers may ignore his warnings and decide they want to try the substances anyway after hearing him describe them. I think he's walking a fine line for sure regarding the permissibility of his content on KZread.

Okay, so I make underground hip-hop on my channel. I take bits n pieces from other songs to make new tracks, then I take acapellas of rappers I find and put them on top of the track I made. A few years ago one of my channels got deleted by KZread because of violation of some rules. 😢In fact the channel recover and re -appear after one year of suspension. So be careful and don't do anything to violate YT rules.🙏🏻🙏🏻

What I find is funny is that especially on shorts multiple of the violations you discussed are crossed again and again and again and those videos are still there. I rarely see it on long form videos. But on shorts it’s violation after violation just scrolling through the feed. I know I myself got exhausted and tired of flagging them. Thousands of them. Clicked the do not recommend button till I broke it. And no matter what I still got recommended the same mess. Seems almost as if they really enforce these rules on long form videos but not on shorts. It’s one of the many reasons why I stopped creating shorts myself and don’t watch shorts unless it’s from my subscription channel and creators I know. I stay off the feed
