You will have to apply for the visa. No visa is automatically granted after finishing one.

I had a doubt, I completed my course on July 7, and student visa expires in September, so do the work hours apply to me as well? As I don't have study to enroll in😅

As long as you don’t have uni, you can work unlimited hours. (Holidays and such.) Gotta pay for that 485 anyway so you get that money. 😂

After living in Australia for the past three years i would say studying there is not really worth the money. Tuition fees are expensive and a lot of the subjects taught are completely irrelevant especially in universities. TAFE has better teaching and curriculum and way cheaper but Austalia doesn’t let international students pursue a bachelors degree through this route because the education department and its cronies who run the university can’t profit off international students. My advice, ditch Australia after your Diploma or get a practical study sponsored by an employer that will let you continue your studies through working. Australian universities are money stealing leeches. Just a waste of money

Let's say I will enroll in a new course after my course ends and there are 2 weeks between the new course and the end of the course. Can I work full time during this period? I am also curious about one more thing. At the end of this year, there is a 9 day public holiday from December 25 to January 2. I have the right to work full time during this 9 day period. Fortnight will start 25th December and ends on 8th January. With my 9 days of full time work, is it okay if I exceed 48 hours at the end of the fortnight?

Hlo, just want to confirm that I work in aged care and did not exceed 48 hours in fortnight in, however according to my pay slip I worked 58 hours per fortnight, because they calculated the hours in the fortnight according to them. I worked 18.5 hours in first week, 27 hours in second and 16 hours in third, 24 hours in fourth and 34 hours in fifth. So according to me, 18.5+27= 47 and 24+16= 40 and 34 in third fortnight. But in my pay slip its 18.25 in one fortnight. And 43 in another and 58 hours in another fortnight. So, is it the breach of my visa. Please reply sir

i have passed my course this december and my visa is expiring on 15th march. Can i go to india and come back before 15th march without applying 485? i have not changed my course, maintain clear course progress, everything is good. but i need to go urgently to india for my wedding and i am not able to apply 485 but i will come back before 15 march. Hi friend, from other student experiences, it seems like you might be better off confirming with a migration agent before leaving as some students were unable to enter Australia after they went back for holidays after completing the course. So i suggest not to risk that situation and speak with someone expert in this field to help you guide in a right direction. All the best.

Sir, visa subclass 500 is for students and not full time workers.

Just study in India unless Indians want to use this back door way to seek permanent residency of that Western country. Study is just being used as an excuse.
