Thanks for the video, helped me to change mine yesterday. Your video makes it look easy though. Took considerably longer, maybe 3 hours :-D. That bolt at the rear of the thermostat was pretty tricky to get to, and the hose with the spring clip was an absolute nightmare to get off, you couldnt twist it due to there being a key on the plastic body of the thermostat.

Very detailed explanation. Really great! Also, just wondering, after the new thermostat is installed, is it necessary to use a diagnostic computer for configuration?

It is recommended to reset the computer after each replacement of electronic parts. The thermostat is controlled electronically, so I recommend using a suitable diagnostic device. Thank you for your inquiry and have a nice day

We use silicone spray to join the pipes, because it is easier to join.

From the heater matrix hoses that goes in to the cabin. Theres a bleed screw on it.

You cant, its integral to the body of the module, and its wired to an electric motor which opens and closes to limit the flow. Its not an actual thermostat like days of old. Already thought about this.
How much was the new unit ?
