    We used a EZCap 273A for this recording but you can use any analogue DVR. Really depends on what quality you want and the size of the DVR, there are heaps available online from Amazon or ebay.

    @@infirayoutdooraunz882 Appreciate your reply, EZCap 273A looks bigger than I expected. I consider to use this device in Airsoft game, so the size and weight would be important.

    @@infirayoutdooraunz882 Really appreciate your information! I will try if I can get this kind of item from my local market. Here is a different question, I haven't got this equipment yet, so I'm curious if I can see the screen clearly if wear a ballistic goggle or glasses by genuine eyepiece? What if attach the PVS-14 eyepiece?

    @@RichNoYoC You can use glasses but you will need to take off the rubber piece. The PVS-14 eyepiece will make it easier to use the MH25 when helmet mounted

    Do these videos depict what is seen through he scope cause the MH25 doesn't look worth the price increase.

    Not 100% as they are recorded through a DVR and not through an onboard recording chip. That said, you can compare the two videos to each other. In regards of the difference, you will find that when used in the field, you will be able to identify animals from significantly further away with the MH25 than the ML19. In short, you will need to walk less to identify a heat signature will mean you will save time and spend more time covering a larger area which in turn will lead to more targets found. Hope that was helpful?

    @@infirayoutdooraunz882 Question - You have limited funds. Would you rather have a ML19 helmet mounted and a 640 res weapon scope combo? Use the Ml19 for spotting and then the scope of ID? Or a MH25 helmet mounted and a 384 scope on the weapon?

  • @infirayoutdooraunz882

    @infirayoutdooraunz882

    @@cyrusdavirus007 Either option is a reasonable option. using the 640 sight option, you will need to bring up your rifle way more often, which means if you are walking you will need to stop, set up a tripod or rest and then ID the target. This takes time, hence you will have less time covering land. That said, a Rico RH50 has the largest detection range of any available thermal scopes, so it could also save you a bit of walking as the detection range is 2x the one of the MH25. on the flip side, with the ML19, there will be moments where you didn't pick up the heat signature in the first place at its max range, meaning you will miss out on a few animals here and there. With the MH25 and a lower res scope, you will be quicker to ID targets than bringing up the scope, but unless you purchase the RL42 with a 2000m detection range, you will most likely have the same or similar detection range than the MH25, so bringing up the scope will not bring further ID distances (Exception is the RL42). In the end it comes down to your specific style of hunting, the terrain you are working in and the animals you are after. If you work at the extreme end of the ranges (line of sight as far as the eye can see and shooting at plus 100m most of the time) get the MH25 and RL42 combo. if you are working in closer sub 200m line of sight ranges like bush, forests, smaller paddocks, around live stock (most of the time), get the ML19 and RH50 combo. Hope this helps

    @@infirayoutdooraunz882 One more question before I purchase. Would you say that both units have about a 20% loss in quality with the DVR used? Is decrease in quality equal or is the ML19 having a lets say 20% and the MH25 a 30% loss of image quality?

  • @infirayoutdooraunz882

    @@cyrusdavirus007 Both have an equal loss of image quality. I can't state by how much as that is extremely difficult to evaluate but to give you an idea, have a look at this video. It will not be as drastic but it gives you an indication. One is filmed via a mobile phone pointed at the screen and the other is the DVR recording. kzread.info/dash/bejne/g3iD0rGnZaiZos4.html Hope this helps
