My biggest regret in the anime was how it just did not have the bandwidth to highlight explicitly how much Eris's attitude changed towards Rudeus throughout the trip. Yes they do the deed at the end but it was just these moments of jealousy and concern for Rudeus that were skipped that really built up to the events of LN6. In particular, I was sad that they did not highlight her extreme protectiveness of him after Orsted turned rudeus into a donut.

Exactly. I think they entirely changed Eris' character. Eris in anime was her usual self, while Eris in LN was much more reserved, as she thought Rudeus is controlling his emotions to not worry others, so she should do the same.They also removed pervy stuff done by Eris, making Rudeus the only pervert in the group. Removal of overprotectiveness hurts a lot, espescially after abridged Eris POV. Rudeus' death affected her a lot, that she was willing to sacrifice anything to not let that happen again (and Rudeus being an idiot, bolstered her fears of being a burden).

They likely will do a exposition recap back As with all other plot point's thus far, they basically re arranged some areas so some are more relevant atm As they have to also consider in their own PoV, they are releasing weekly between episodes, and about 2-3 season interval between seasons. So ppl won't exactly remember what happened before and after. Esp when you consider alot of audience are fairly...braindead, not to be rude but true, the fact that alot require spoonfed information or emotion to instill the right feedback from the audience. Which is while good for the short stories we seen with Rudeus in anime format that covers a small number of stories, unlike the novel format where it can cover much more

@@dawidblazkowicz2702 He's a weeabu. he's pronouncing エリス the way it would be in japanese. its a bit extra IMO. *edit, if he wanted to go the extra mile he wouldn't say "Greyrat", he'd pronounce it "Gulaylatto". Its unnecessary and you can just say "Eris"

Man LN 5 really did have so many skipped chapters and content in general, didn't it. I know you lose a lot in a LN to anime adaptation but having only 2 episodes in MIllis(not counting the OVA) really was a crime. Death God getting Gordon Ramsayd, dinner with Norn/Eris/Paul/Rudeus, Rudeus going to the HQ and sees Norn there, Shierra and Vierra backstory, Paul's abridged conversation with Geese in the anime, Paul's abridged perspective following the displacement incident(the 1 minute long slideshow we got wasn't enough for me!), etc

I love the anime but I actually started the light novels a couple weeks ago and a major factor in that was hearing that rudy’s aunt was in the LN and was skipped and i actually just finished this chapter the other day and it made me sad not seeing them unite in the anime

She did her best to protect the Blessed Child from the assassins sent by the Pope's faction. Cliff's family might not be the "good side" after all.

I don't remember reading more about it in other chapters, only in this one. The details may vary from WN to LN though. I remember reading that after Ruijerd saved Gash when he was a young knight on a mission in the demon continent, he escorted him and the other survivors like he is escorting Rudeus. They became friends during that time. Gash then told him that if he ever was in Milishion he had to come pay him a visit and he would do his best to help him if he ever was in trouble. That was way before he became a leader.

The adaptation as a whole would benefit immensely from having more OVAs given the kind of things they have to cut from the show. It's lowkey a shame that the era of 3 minute specials is long gone, too, because there's a good amount of short scenes that would easily fit that format. Unfortunately there aren't exactly Blu-Ray releases these days to lump them in with. Either way the finances are always a factor.

True, I'll also recommend the begaritt arc volume because I remember that I'm reading more immersive story than the anime. The anime has all the good fighting action and all, but nothing can beat the LN's point of views and storytelling

I had watched the anime multiple times before I started reading the LN. When I finished Vol 5, I started watching the anime again wondering specifically about this scene - whether I had missed it. But then when the I watched how the anime adapted it, I thought - no, this isn't right. Dead End did not have an easy time getting on the boat, and it wasn't a letter from Paul. Also, neither Rudy nor Eris were sick on the boat - they had medicine from Theresa.

trust me on this one. even when some one with a sibling of the opposing sex, looks up that kind of stuff. that doesn't mean they are into it. most just look cause of the girl. but never consinder there own sister to be a potential partner/obsession of... some one who doesn't have siblings, always asumes that those with do. it is a fantasy for those without siblings, a nightmare for most with siblings. (some people go after there own sibling, and sometimes both siblings feel the same way, that is just a rare call of nature. very rare)

About Rudeus experience with blood relatives not making his railgun fire off any coins, i think it's just him consuming the materials while not interested in actually doing it himself. This is taken from his previous life so it shows a realistic aspect of it too, that people may be interested in those contents but normally would not be interested in doing it themselves. (him being surprised about that is because he is used to being perverted, he wasn't thinking about it until when it happens)

Woulda been a greet episode to introduce his aunt n then that lovey dovey cuddle session haha.

He has some aweful pronounciation. His frieren pronounciation is particularly aweful. He says fern which is way more confusing because we have somone named fern too. A lot of theae channels wanna sound more 'japanese' but strangely the japanese tend to pronounce thing like they're spelt while the channels do how they think the japanese will .

Whatever good will Therese gets here is, IMHO, thrown under the bus after what happens during VOL 21. Rudeus went super soft on her.... if you know, you know.

So Therese and Paul were at the same city. Kinda strange that they haven't met at that time. Or they don't know each other personally?

Im pretty sure zeniths family hates paul.

My opinion on why this was skip in the anime was maybe due to mood. Rudeus and Paul just got into a heated fight and having Rudeus being in a sudden happy situation would be weird. Now why they didn't have them meet before Rudy remet his dad? Not a clue

I love how Rudeus, whether he knows them or not, is physically incapable of being aroused by anyone more closely related to him than a second cousin.

its not odd, rudeus still at this point feels he is an outsider and his soul is that of the 30 year old Japanese and doesn't view himself as rudeus or part of that family, he changes his perspective and accepts that he is rudeus and part of the greyrat family later.

The manga is always just for the people that don't like to read without pictures. The manga is only ahead slightly because anime takes so long to make. It's the same with goblin slayer. After this season the anime will be caught up with the manga

Moshuko’s animation is gradually decreasing its quality. Idk i might be trippin but i feel the animation was not hiiting me. Not like season 1 when u feel so immerse to the world. Might also because of the post frieren animation im finding this season of moshuko in animation not that good.
