Content information: The Formula 1 international racing driver, Sir Louis Larbalestier Hamilton MBE, has a 'half'-brother Nicholas Hamilton, not a 'step'-brother. They are actually blood relative siblings, (having the same dad) and not merely chance family by marriage. However, I do like the brilliant juxtapositioning with British all-time racing immortals, Sir Stirling Craufurd Moss OBE and Jim Clark jr. OBE. (Another Brit towering achiever Sir John Young Stewart OBE 3xF1 GP WDC TITLES curiously didn't get a look in...)

@@arranlargue6167 Michael's upbringing is also inspiring tbf, but I think Hamilton's is more well known cause of his skin color. This is not bringing up the race card or something, but imagine being the only black kid competing in karting in the 90s. Must have been something.

Tbh I agree with the comments where people are saying every generation has a Lewis Hamilton. I think this generation it's clear the new Hamilton is Verstappen. The only thing that is highly unlikely to be replicated is 1. Making it to F1 coming from a normal background, 2. jumping into a top team car and almost winning the championship in the first season. Those days are just gone now. These days it's not just about being a quick driver, it's also about being marketable. You've got to be insanely talented, insanely experienced, have a really good unique personality, be good looking/not be ugly, and be in the right place at the right time/lucky. If you don't meet all of those, you ain't making it to F1.

Nope. All you need is the money. There are a handful of moderately talented, not particularly attractive or charismatic individuals currently in Formula 1. If you have the financial backing, you’re going to beat a more talented driver to a seat on the grid. Sad but true.

@@jackieoconnor4926 I see what you're saying but unless you're stroll, you can't just buy your way into F1 anymore. Lot's of drivers can raise the money, it's whether they are marketable imo E.g. Zhou, yes he's from a wealthy family, but he's also insanely marketable in China which is the only reason he still has a seat, his brand makes the Sauber brand money in a huge market Another example, Checo, insanely profitable for the Mexican market Another example is Ricciardo, he has stuck around for so long despite his poor performances bc he is still favourable to teams because of his marketing potential, although I suspect that is changing as fans are starting to turn against him Tsunoda, he performed quite mediocre for a long time, but he kept his seat because his marketability in Japan, Tsunoda likely made RB a lot of money in the Japanese market Filipe Drugovich imo is one of the best drivers in the last generation of F2, but he just isn't marketable. He can for sure raise the money, money is not an issue, but it's whether teams see his as an asset to generate even more money, and honestly, I don't see it in him, and I highly suspect this is why he isn't in F1 right now. The only driver right now who goes against this is Verstappen, but then he was just so good RB didn't care about the marketing because his results would do more for the team than his marketing potential could Hopefully you see what I'm saying

Every generation has had it's Lewis Hamilton. Some people just aren't old enough to remember. In my dad's time it was Jim Clark who back in the 60's was the youngest ever F1 world champion. You can't really compare drivers that easily because there used to be fewer races, more cars, less reliability and MUCH more relaxed regs even 20 years ago. Lewis stood out for the last 10 years. If Max sticks around he will be the next one. Before Lewis it was Schumacher, Senna and Prost before him.

Younger drivers are able to perform better in f1 cars because thats just what they are used to at first. But hamilton is struggling because he drove lighter weight cars for so long that the new heavier cars are a struggle to adapt to. Luckily he has adapted to the change but his car is not his style. Mercedes is making the car better for george and not hamilton. He clearly needs a better car because it doesn't match a champions style.

We need a black man in the sport who is not a princess and who is not a professional victim and who is not an attention seeking Cry-Baby. We need a real man. Someone that the black community would be proud of being represented by. Someone who isn't constantly fake for the cameras, someone who says exactly how they feel and speaks their mind freely and bravely. We need a SAMUEL JACKSON in F1!!
