There Will Never Be Another Dock Ellis
Спорт
Dock Ellis was a major league pitcher most known for throwing a no-hitter on June 12th, 1970 while under the influence of LSD. His story has been depicted in songs, animations, and even had its own feature length documentary. While the story of the man who pitched a no hitter on acid is legendary, it undercuts just how important Dock was to his team, The Pittsburgh Pirates, as well as Major League Baseball as a whole. We're going to take a trip back to 1970, the year in which it happened. The no hitter will be apart of the story, but only a small part.

I was NOT expecting the death grips!!
What a great story, jeez. There was definitely a lot more to him than his no-hitter. Good stuff

1st. I’m very sorry. I know being a pirates fan these days isn’t easy 2nd. Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate the support 3rd. I’m honestly surprised this video hasn’t been made yet, but it does seem like everyone gets so caught up in the no hitter that they overlook how much of an interesting character Dock was. It was honestly a joy to make this.

You should do a video on Dick Allen. Shakeia Taylor wrote an amazing article about him and his refusal to go along with what was expected of him and play nice when it came to racism in the clubhouse and from fans, and I think his story needs to be told more often

Thanks I got it last year
Pretty sure he hit the first FOUR Reds in that game before Murtaugh hauled him out of there(Rose,Morgan,Bench,Perez;not sure of the order;in a book I have). Anyway,it is relevant to his personality:''We gonna do the do. I'm gonna hit those motherfuckers.''
Tommy....'Ajee' not Aggie.
