This doc should really be called The Story of Mike Judge since theres been so little about 10% on the actual music and 90% on MIke.

Mike Judge js Judge... he wrote lyrics, about his life, his thoughts, his experiences... which you can understand better by watching this documentary

Another great installment. Good to see the truth being told from the man himself. Mike is a mad nice guy. Hope my Rangers face his blackhawks in the Stanley Cup.

I remember when I was in high school the stock answer to "whatever happened to Mike Judge?" was that he had become a drunk and spent all his time in a Neil Young cover band.

as much as i love these bands, do any bands on Revelation actually make new music? they've all been great live, but how long can you be cashing in on albums that are 20 years old? i saw Judge at sxsw last year and even Mike said himself he's never played in the sunlight (their set was at 5 PM) and felt very weird doing it. nonetheless the pits i've seen for these bands have been beautiful

ThexXxTrooper lol Stones are cashing in on albums that are like 50 years old haha. if people didn't have the tendency to die, a lot of older bands would still be milking their early work...and that's fine with me. if there is an audience that wants to have fun, let 'em. the formula proves itself over and over.

Hey, somewhere in the world the Bad Brains are probably taking the stage and they are true elder statesmen, so there is something to the old HC nostalgia and it's probably appealing to 40 -50 year old guys like myself. Didn't Mike release a blues oriented record with a Zep cover? It's like in the 80's the cycle was be hard as fuck for a few years then release something that alienates 93% of your fans then try to stage a comeback and by that point why bother?

"fuckin" on a side note - i couldn't finish watching this series. but still felt compelled to try. this happens on occasion - a few Epicly Later'd episodes put me to sleep, but only a few. i will continue to tune in to Noisey if i hear there is something/anything hardcore related being issued. keep trying - it's appreciated.

Not being mean because I'd love to see Mike live a good long life, but someone needs to help him with his weight. That's just not good for the heart and lungs.

I'd like to add that true skinheads have got nothing to with being a racist or racism whatsoever... you look at the ska and oi bands in the UK, it's all do do with the music and nothing else.

If you're referring to the skinhead comment, no, it's a different kind of punk-type skinhead that doesn't involve racism (and as others pointed out here, there are black and multicultural skinheads under that banner as well).

I love judge. But this goddamn “rattle that alcohol soaked brain for a minute “ shit is wack. Straight edge is wack. And it doesn’t exist in its purest form. I’m glad it gave people an outlet. Music is what shapes and changes lives. Fuck yelling about problems that singers think are alcohol and drug based. Half these dudes were born when their mother was drunk. It’s a joke.

I swear I'm not trolling but why does the dude say that Mike taught him what it meant to be a skinhead? Is there a type of skinhead that isn't hatefully racist? I was just confused. Maybe I missed something.

It was just confusing bc the members of Judge were complaining that klan members and "skinheads" were showing up at their shows and then 3 minutes later a guy says the lead singer of Judge taught him how to be a skinhead. You're right though, always good to learn more. I can't stand the music, for the most part, but the culture and characters are intriguing.
