@@daciasdiy1861 Don’t do that. You know that 16 years of marriage wasn’t easy. Please don’t pretend like you two haven’t had to work through a lot to keep your love going strong. It’s a shame that people like to paint this false idea of marriage in order to make others feel like they’re failing. Marriage takes a lot of humility and sacrifice… and for us humans, that’s not easy. It takes a lot of God to make a marriage work.

Amen Amen and Amen. She dogged Freddie too who didn't say anything bad about her. I believe he called her trash in retaliation for the negative things she said about him. In the beginning he didn't want kids but he said being around his niece and nephew changed his mind. People were mad with him but was happy when Jeanie changed hers. Remember she didn't invite any of her colleagues from The Real to her wedding. I forgot what her reason was for not inviting them. Well she's having a big slice of humble pie now. It was stated in the divorce papers THERE'S NO CHANCE OF RECONCILIATION. He's done. Just joint custody of his daughter.

Only because the man comes out clean as a whistle. If Jeezy was a Frankenstein in it you women would be crying tears of Disgust for her to leave him and take all his wealth. I'm happy he found out sooner than later and played chess with his life instead of checkers like most women would enjoy and be extremely frosty in these situations. GOOD FOR HIM!! In my opinion, Jeannie and Jeezy’s relationship wasn’t driven by love but by competitiveness with their exes. Jeannie and Jeezy weren’t over how their exes left them with egg on their faces, so they got together to “one up them” and win the breakup. That’s why they flaunted their relationship, and kept comparing their current relationship to their ex relationships. It was always “my ex did this, but Jeezy does this now”. It was never about the two of them, but was about dunking on their exes. That’s why it was all content, praises, and “you so perfect” online, and I think we never saw the real truth of their relationship.

Marriage is not easy and don't let anybody tell you anything different - especially people who have never been married. I have been married for 20 years. I have a good husband and he is a good man. However, he is his own person and building a life with another person is not always going to be peaches and cream. There are differences. I don't always agree with where he wants our relationship to go and he doesn't always agree with me. That's where compromise has to come in. Also, there will be trials that come into your marriage that you would never imagine. A job loss, mother-in-law moving with us briefly after my FIL passed away. You just never know what curve balls life will throw you and there will be many. Some big, some small. Marriage is hard, but those times don't outweigh the calm. When the hard outweighs the calm, it's probably time to go.

It saddens me as a practitioner and a woman that everyone on all platforms are bringing so much negativity for a marriage that is ending. This is someone's family. It does not matter about race, it matters thst this baby's parents are divorcing. As I see it Jeezy has never spoke about his other children or their mother or mothers. To me thsts a red flag if having atrachment issues. None of us know either of them I espescially do not. But im really disappointed that they are going through this and he is being so smug about. Jeezy clearly has commitment issues and I feel bad for Jenny in the situation! The first thing that we need to do is to analyze a persons past relationships, especially if they have children already. Like how did he treat those women and why did the relationships end? A lot of times we don’t have the opportunity to talk to the women of the past but if you do, that’s the best time to ask a lot of questions. It could save a lot of heartache and time but a child is here now, so they just have to pray for that baby and move forward in grace.

Jeannie did state she grew up having a bad temper and no one had really checked her on it. Seems like no matter who she would be with the relationship would end up not working. More often than not it's emotions and negative attitudes which tend to ruin good relationships regardless how compatible one is with the other. The person who has it together will usually ask to end it in favor of peace of mind.

She admitted to being controlling and that when they started dating, he had to let her know she could not disrespect him, after she had done something that made him feel disrespected. In other words, she was not accustomed to people standing up to her and checking her. Jeanie did an interview where she talked about this. I'm sure she will play victim as she did with her first husband, that is until everyone found that she was not as innocent as she wanted people to think. The villain often likes to play victim.

Here’s the thing: Jeannie stuck with her first marriage for years even after she knew it wasn’t everything she wanted or needed. She sticks around. She’s the type of person to try to make things work - as seen with her relationship with her mom and several other people. She also didn’t want to have a child with the wrong person. She avoided a baby at all costs in her first marriage, so if she had one now, it’s probably because she truly believed it was with the right person. Jeezy being the one who filed and having that smug attitude about it points to him having blindsided Jeannie. I’m sure she’s not perfect or even an easy person to be with. But he seems performative. He published a book about his struggles - why comment about society when you can’t even figure out the smallest unit a person can be responsible for? A family? This sucks.

  • @scratchpenny

I always felt like she had a baby so fast to get back at Freddie. Everything was on display during the start of her relationship with Jeezy. Like it was all a show. Both of them came into this relationship with baggage. Jeannie also has control issues, and while Freddie let her be the boss, this wasn't flying with Jeezy.

  • @mykchek7

    @mykchek7

It only sucks because Jeezy ended the inevitable EARLY and took insurance out on his business deal with getting a prenup which allows for him to leave the situation with most his assets. THATS what most women are sad about! Prior to this in her own words he was practically The PERFECT gentleman. One she never experienced in her life and because she is stuck in her ways she won't change because the way she is has been passed down to her from generations of close family members including her mother. Jeezy played chess with his situation and won by leaving early and it should be a lesson to study for us men to follow instead of getting taken to the cleaners.

It’s sad to see marriages fall apart. I was concerned when I saw Jeannie (on one of her shows) in this horrible confrontation with her own mother while her husband was in house. She was overly disrespectful to her mother. That was the wrong ammunition to give to her husband. She might have felt good doing that, but chances are, she looked small in her husband’s eyes for doing that.

I fell pregnant 2 yrs after getting with my man. We were engaged on yr.5 and we married on yr. 10. We are now 30 yrs STRONG! As young new parents a wedding was not important in our day to day. We lived as a family, behaved as a family because we were a family. That paper was not important. I am happy that we married but we would still be together if we didn't have it. So to imply that long engagements go nowhere, I don't know many people together for 30 years because folks rush and don't take marriage serious anymore. They divorce very easily too. Some people marry everyone they get into a relationship with. I know a guy who had 3 ex-wives by the time he was 29 years old. Jumping too fast is not the answer.

I said this before I feel like the marriage was just a fling and in the moment thing. Jeannie was a product of her own environment, whoever she was surrounded by that's who she adapted to. She was surrounded by mostly black women on the show and they were always talking about their black husbands and raising kids, she started hanging out with the cast outside of the show. If you look at the beginning of The Real she was very meek and quite but as time went on she became over the top and more outgoing. She was skinny in the beginning but then as time went on she said that wanted to become more thicker and started wearing a butt pad to make her booty look bigger. In one episode she even said that her favorite song was "Thotiana" by Blue face 😂 You know where I'm going with this. I don't think that this marriage was intended to last, I think it was a phase that fizzled out.

Well, he immediately told her in a respectful way not to ever say that again. Why did he tell her this? Because he was thinking about his mother. He has respect for the women in his culture. When someone shows you who they are, believe them", Jeannie Mae is not exempt. Jeannie told the world that she liked her Black men on the side. It's very difficult to transform side dishes into main courses. Jeannie fetishized Black men, including Jeezy. On the other hand, Jeezy was on a trajectory of having progressively lighter/brighter, closer-to- white romantic interests. Just take a peek at his first baby's mother, who is very dark skinned. Each woman in his life got unceasingly lighter in complexion. He is ready for the real thing next-- can we say Lady in White. SIDEBAR: Beautiful baby. I hope co-parenting goes swimmingly well!

I just don’t know why a lot of black men like jeezy don’t mind being fetishized but I understand why bc society have been conditioned into thinking sexual stereotypes are their only positive aspects collectively it’s just messed up that so many have internalized that Side note: your side comments be having me “then why she didn’t stay on the white side?” 😂😂😂😂

Yes. The BBC misconception has them thinking they're the most desired men on the planet lol. Sad when they're proud of only relying on that for being chosen.

Those “preferences” and trophy wives are not getting preferential treatment either despite being “chill”, submissive or whatever. It’s best to stay away from confused and miserable individuals.

Relationships don't last based on fetishization. Now she's raising a half-black child and she thinks the father speaks to her in SOUTH? That's so disappointing. If you are gonna date us you need to properly and respectfully understand the culture because you should be ally. Not dropping microaggressions & thinking it's funny. But that's also his fault for not letting her know- especially since he still got with her despite her comments on black men. This dynamic happens too often- sadly. That aside, their daughter is adorable. Edit: If y'all think her comment about speaking South wasn't ignorant idk what to tell ya. Including the other things she said about black men , but let's skrrt over that 🙃

I’m a black woman that’s a fan of her channel, and I can honestly say she def tried to incorporate black culture for her daughter. Her pediatrician and nanny are black and the other Haitian. She also took her daughter to Jeezy’s family home to make sure they were able to have a relationship with her. I wasn’t caring much about their relationship, but I’m sad that he created another broken home.
