I wouldn't mind dogs being 10% smaller or bigger randomly, and being able to breed them to get up to 25% or so bigger than the base 100%. Would be fun if it also slightly buffed their stats too, like horses!

HONESTLY that would go kinda crazy. would be a very neat way to make dogs even better. plus, maybe it could be cool for other mobs too like farm animals. maybe a bigger cow will drop more beef, so you kill all the smaller cows in your farm and breed the big ones. its a small change but would be very cool to play with. maybe some even more complex features, like maybe some dogs do more damage, which will require a LOT more work to test for when breeding which would be neat.

I was waiting for this video to come out

1) I would love to have dogs that big 2) technically speaking the player is "fine" in this instance cause its applying the likes of what we have seen in trailers where the characters, specifically what seem to be "player" characters, seem to "wobble" or "lurch" forward when performing actions. So while this character is ~2 blocks away from the tree the movement and momentum that the character has when swinging the axe will pull them forward enough to connect with the tree. This of course breaks in the sense of the game

It must've taken awhile for mojang to find that seed. I mean with all of those biomes it must be one in a billion

Imagine if that was just a rare variant of wolf and maybe 0.5% of the time they were just massive. That would be equivalent to something closer to a dire wolf, since gray wolves don't actually get that big (only about a block tall).

On the current trial chamber one in the minecraft launcher the dog doesn't even look normal size it just looks masive.

you forgot they also made a really large dog in the 1.21 launcher art

the podzol on the floor is 2 blocks, as you can see from the bordering grass and podzol on the corner. it doesnt mask the fact that the dog was 2 times bigger since it was massively overlapping a block of podzol and grass. once you notice the size discrepency it's hard to unsee it haha

Bruh Ive been doing the minecraftle for a while now and I also start with piston, campfire, and daylight sensor in that order lmao

He might have been jumping, meaning he was above the blocks, appearing bigger, but actually being normal size

As an artist who has drawn for 5 years by this point, the dog is bigger, you are correct, but it is not as big as the player. If you consider the FOV, angle of the dog's head, and flatten it (so to speak), the dog is actually 1.5 blocks tall and is basically half the size of the player. This is just taking a look at the stump of the tree an the shadow that is being cast from the dog's tail which would be on the mossy cobble if the angle of the sun was the same in the image. This was done in 3D, (I've also worked there longer than 2D art; aka about 7 years), which makes this less of a mistake and more of a slight scaling change to make the dog more prominent in the image. Art doesn't always have to be consistent. It's art. Taking creative liberties to make something stand out is not a mistake. But pointing out these things are. I'm not saying any of this is wrong, but consider that you are not an artist an there may be some things that are just artist standard rather than a random redditor's or your own. I still love your videos, they are entertaining and wonderful to watch, but as someone who is very experienced in this field that you are accidently criticizing is something that I just had to correct and comment on. I hope you or anyone else doesn't take this as hate, keep going and improving. :)

It's possible that either the dog is put in separately and later put in the same scene in photoshop or the animators position all the characters according to the camera's view. If I'm correct, this is a very common trick animators use where they only worry about key points in the scene rather than the details because theres a saying "work smarter not harder" is very much true for a lot of animations. If it's not too noticeable then the animators won't worry about it. Ik this isn't exactly animation but it's using 3d modeling so it should be around the same concept.
