There's No Such Thing as a Sexual Prime

I sit down with teacher, practitioner, speaker, and leading voice in the sexual wellness movement Kiana Reeves to talk about expressing sexuality while being a mom, how to get out of your head and drop into your body while having sex, asking for what we need in the bedroom, the different types of orgasms women have and how to achieve them, how to break out of routine and keep the spark alive in a long term long relationship, what contributes to low-libido, and using mirror work to give ourselves the body confidence we need to achieve what we want in the bedroom.

I’ve been in a relationship for approx. 27 yrs. He is a kind & good man. So, approx. 15 yrs ago I “spoke up” about our sex life which IMO needed some improvement. While he did listen to what I had to say, things did not go as I’d hoped. I did not bring this up whilst having sex it was at a separate time. The result of this conversation was that he literally never touched me again in a sexual way. IMO there is nothing better than the feelings that arise from “making love” to the person you love. As a human being that craves sex & finds it life affirming this broke my psyche. It destroyed my self-esteem, my self-worth, my self-confidence and eventually my overall happiness. I’ve been in a depressive state for almost 15 yrs now. Speaking up is not always a good thing I guess…at least in my case😢 So-so sex was better than no sex I now realize. The no sex thing doesn’t seem to bother him at all. Perhaps he is asexual or just has a low libido. I wish I would’ve figured this out before I dedicated my life to him. I always think maybe I could’ve lived like this and been okay if we’d had kids. I wanted kids badly but he did not🥺

Oh wow. I’m so sorry @kristinekerr3688. Do you think that maybe he’d be open to seeing someone (like a couples’ sex therapist or counselor of some kind) with you? It just seems like a shame for you to have to be all, “well I guess I’m screwed (no pun intended) and my sex life is over forever” until the day you die…you know? I’m sure I’m oversimplifying the situation but I just wish I could help. 🫤

A little constructive critique for Kristin, when guests are talking she continues to say yeah, it’s ok to not say anything and listen or engage with the information.

She doesn’t need tips from you Sis, we Alll say yeah listening to a conversation it’s called acknowledging & being present fully in the conversation. If you’re just staring at someone’s face you can zone out. I know I do.

Sorry but this is gross and that “therapist” should lose her license. It’s one thing to fantasize. It’s another to fantasize that you are a teen with a teacher. That is predatory. That is the exact crap that makes men think it’s ok to sexualize young girls. And it’s usually a symptom of watching porn, which is destructive all on its own. Do better, ladies. This is not ok.

@@e4126She says “One of my turn on fantasies is I’m young and got older teacher I’m getting attention from…this is me embodying a teenage girl basically…” Please go back and listen because she says it clearly. It’s disgusting and the fact that Kristin, who has a daughter, is laughing along and seems into it, is extremely disturbing.

@@e4126 Not to mention it’s still predatory. It’s a power thing-a male teacher using his profession to sleep with a student. That’s not ok and it happens a lot in our country and leaves young women with years and years of trauma.

My dad married my mother straight after she finished high-school. In fact he had started dating, with my grandparents consent, when she was 17. Dad was 25 when he married my mother and she 19 at the time. There was nothing predatory but love. They had three kids are still happily married after 36 years later. Predators are sick people, not every man who looks at a school girl wants to do horrible things. Its a parent job to teach their kids to be cautious and smart.
