Finally someone is not BS and telling it as it is
This guy has some really good points, especially about the Canadian Dollar going down big time.
Great analysis, thanks! 👍
STAGFLATION. High unemployment, rising inflation and lower GDP.
It needs to raise rates by 5% more or kiss the dollar goodbye

Canada should NOT lower rates. We should keep them as is or even go higher. We can't stop kicking the can down the road.

Great video! I really do have a quick question. For someone with less than $10,000 to invest, How would you recommend we enter the market? I am looking study some traders and copy their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally. Whats your take on this approach?
@annamink6329

Focus on long term investments in property, stocks, and bonds. Avoid copying, daytrading and 'chart astrology'. Diversify across different geographies, industries, and value chain stages - to reduce your risk. You can do this with ETFs, or by selecting different stocks yourself. This is the best way to invest for more than 90% of people

I successfully trade in my own portfolio, and also follow others because I'm interested in their strategies. I realized I've got better at managing the trader's strategies too. There's nothing wrong at all with having someone far more dedicated manage some of your portfolio.

To be 100% honest with you. I had the same question 4 years ago. I was confused as heck. Now copying other traders for over 3 years, I would like to tell you, YES copy trading is a good approach. Just keep in mind that the success of copying another trader lies in their transparency. Make sure you know who you are dealing with before copying them. My two cents. Goodluck!

Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally I had to reach out to a market analyst for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again.

If bank of Canada lowers mortgage rates will do more harm than good .they can kiss home affordability good bye....

interest rate nathing to do with home affordability its more for economy and spending less for consumer to control money flow. but lowering the rate mean more productive we can bring to Canada and more job creation.
I see the rising interest rate as a very big problem, as more investors will definitely pull out more money from the Stock market. This might have worked when I was still invest-ing with a couple thousand dollars, but it is more difficult now to decide whether to pull out more than $365k from my port-folio. I know some inves-tors still make that despite the strong bear market. In wish I could pull that feat

I think the whole thing about holding stocks for long term will always apply. So I think you should get a quality broker who is able to analyze and pick stocks that will do well in the long term, else you will be in a long bear ride.

You have a very valid point, I started investing on my own and for a long time, the market was really ripping me off. I decided to hire a broker, even though I was skeptical at first, and I beat the market by more than 9%. I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an analyst.

Who wants to lower rates too far anyway...if you devalue our dollar the cost of buying imports goes up which increases inflation again. Sure our exports will do better, but a super low dollar is something you don't want...for our dollar will fail to be haven of stability for foreigners to buy into.
It will only be stable, or it will go up, and it won't decrease for probably years.
Your guest makes some great points. That's why most countries can't "print" as they're held in check by the bond market. BTW, we don't have state income taxes here in Florida.....thought I would mention that ;) lol
Tinkering with interest rates will Not change the economic crises in Canada.
Just buy GICs. If 6% prime rate is a problem, considering that is still low, it just means you took out too much debt. You should only buy what you can afford. Follow the rules and you'll be fine. The goal is to control inflation. The lower the rate, the risk of increasing inflation. Why do you think inflation has been dropping? Having a hot economy is good and bad
caller! Canada is a mature economy with sr managers that don't hold MBA's...is that true because that's a big short.
It will limit our ability to go on vacation ??? What about going bankrupt and losing your house because your mortgage went from $2000 a month to $5000 ? Oh and can’t forget paying for your house insurance for your place in Florida . I wonder if he realizes how out of touch he sounds ?

That’s incorrect. Weaker Yen boosts their exports because they can sell at lower prices than their competitors. Second of all do you buy YEN currency at its lows or USD at its highs? What will happen now if you invest in USA and they start cutting rates and their currency softens. Even if you have some gains, by the time you realize it at your own currency, you will be at loss.
