OMG I JUST NOTICED THAT AT 3:15 YOU CAN SEE ELPENOR DANCING ON THE ROOF BEFORE FALLS!
I love how Circe is sneaking a knife at the beginning; it's such a better interpretation than i had in my head. When I first heard this song, I thought Circe was just "I can't fight you? Ok, I'll just fuck you to learn if you're trustworthy. That totally makes sense." This take, that Circe was using seduction as a test and trap, is so much better. When Odysseus turns her down because he's married, Circe sees that Odysseus is a decent man and not a threat to her nymphs, so she drops the knife and agrees to help him.

I love the way the song parallels "say no to this" from Hamilton because Hamilton is like "you can't expect a man to deny a pretty woman throwing herself at him, especially not when the wife is away for a bit" but Odysseus hasn't seen his wife in YEARS and resists Circe. Circe: Understandable. Here, have your men back.
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE I LOVEE how this one shows exactly how much power Circe actually has, most show a more subtle mind-game, but this one shows her power physically, with her dominating the entire interaction, being taller, shoving Odysseus around, and causing him mental distress all wrapped in a seductive package before going in for the kill. She was literally trying to court him with death, using herself as bait and I love that. I also love how it shows that the only thing that stays her hand and her blade is his loyalty and love for Penelope. She almost seems annoyed that she can’t kill him now, because she’s been in the same situation before, and expected Odysseus to choose the other woman just like Glaucus, but he remains loyal instead. Killing him would be like killing the part of herself that still loves and longs for what Odysseus and Penelope have, so she couldn’t even if she is cynical to a happy ending. AND amazing usage of film techniques and camera angles, like the ARC SHOT (my fave) the DOLLY SHOTS the TILTING, the TRACKING, the PANNING THE LOW ANGLE POV SHOT OF CIRCE THEN PENELOPE?!!? 10/10 amazing as always, Gigi!

Shoving him onto the bed with a toothy smile? help I’m very gay - the gleam in her eyes as she crawls on top of him wtf - THE LION HEAD ON THE POMMEL OF THE DAGGER okay the resemblance of her movements to a hunting feline were not accidental, I see you sprinkling in all the cat imagery - Oh I love how very mortal/human/earthy Penelope looks in contrast to Circe’s leonine fey witchiness - her pose for “this prophet is dead” XD and the underworld transition! That Tiresius design!! - Ahahah the look from the nymphs and his sweat drop wave - ELPENOR XD
I need this, I love this song. Not cannon compliant but what ever, Circe rules and so does Odysseus' love for banana peels (penelope)

Ngl even in the canon I'd argue Odysseus didn't have much of a choice anyway… Which makes Odysseus even more of a baller, somehow.

1:16 I love how soft his face is when he's talking about Penelope, and 1:40 I LOVE THAT HE KNEELS HERE. HE GETS ON HE KNEES AND BEGS. HE JUST WANTS TO GET HIM AND HIS MEN HOME

his face gets even softer at 1:19 hes so in love I'm going to cry
3:15 oh my God, the drunk guy who died on the roof 😂😂😂😂😂
*Oydsseus plops on the couch* Circe:wtf
Love that the Prophets Design has so many Eyes while he himself is Blind.
Holy shit, Circe at 0:53 looks so hot. Those eyes and that angle are way too powerful of a combo. Props to my man Odysseus for being able to resist that. I also love how even when Circe is being seductive, she still has this "strong and charismatic" atmosphere around her. It doesn't feel like she's only tempting because she's hot. There's something about her personality that just draws people in.
LMAO THE END 3:34 MFER IS SCREAMING ABOUT HIS BELOVED circe decided imma help this idiot so he will stop about his beloved penelope ody is a fuqin faithful husbanddddd
we love a loyal man in ancient greece!
Ody: _12 LoNg YeArs_ Circe: …That’s rough, buddy. Seriously, this was great! Lowkey love the way Circe magically does her hair. The lighting in this part is lovely, too! I just realized you can see Elpenor on the roof near the end 😂 The little bow I can’tttt 🥰
Your original WIP version of this animation is what got me into EPIC in the first place, I'm very thankful to you for finishing it. Please, keep being awesome!
The loyalty this man has in him is truly unmatched.
Bro, Ody sat down as if Circe was his therapist 😂😂i loved this❤
Odysseys bowing to Circe showing her respect and appreciation for her act of kindness 💖💯🥹❤
THE GUY THAT FELL OFF CERCIS PALACE 😭😭😭😭 3:14
THE ANIMATION WHEN SHES CRAWLING TOWARDS ODY OMGGGGGG CHILLSSSSSS😭 but also Penelope is so cute stoppp
The way Circe just hides the knife behind her back at 1:10 LMAO
The way Circe puts her dagger away like "hmph, fine then"
Am I the only one who’s going hysterical over the way Circe slow blinks like a cat to the people around her to indicate trust?? She does it to her nymphs when her and Odysseus come out together and puts them at ease- and then she does it to Odysseus at the end?? Screaming. The details in this are immaculate
The way odysseus just flops down next to circe when he's venting about his wife- And circe just moves up and stares at him like.. Odysseus: : "MY LIFE IS HELL~ AND YOUR (very) PRETTY.. BUT I HAVE A WIFE" *confused and sad Odysseus noises* Circe staring at him like wtf: "heh.. this wasn't part of the plan.."
I'm so happy that they made Circe actually a friend. I originally heard something else and frankly- I really liked Circe and thought "omg besties!" SO! I'm happy for that :D
ELPENOR ON THE ROOF AT THE END GOODBYE FOREVER
OK, here are The details I noticed that I LOVED: - circe using magic, with her hair, and mixing a 'potion' - the pigs turning into men - her laugh at the pigs - the figure in the smoke, I really liked that design - when ody bows at the end and she lifts his chin
2:30 tiresias' design 😍
Everybody in the live chat is going crazy for Circe and I love it LMFAOO
The way elpenor is on circe's palace is just amazing
0:28 The way Circe circles him like a lioness stalking prey. Also she got taller since your last WIP of this animatic.
CIRCES FLUFFY HAIR I LOVE IT SM SHE HAS SO MUCH SASS WHEN SHE UNTIES IT ❤❤❤
The parallel to Penelope through a reflection of sorts at 1:23 , Odysseus is so close and yet so far from her and yet she is everything to him. He longs for her still and I love it. Actual Queen 💜
‘Its been 12 LONG YEARS’ when u can tell he’s too old for this bc he forgets the years 😭
Awww, the way the rescued crew members ran up to Eurylochus at the end 🥺 This animatic was so cool, the colour changes at the mention of the Underworld and Penelope especially ❤ and the backgrounds/scenery in this are amazing, there’s so much depth to it
I freaking love this!!!! It's incredible!! Her showing him Tiresias, the hair untying and tying again, the pigs being scared, the men hugging each other at the end...utterly perfect!!
NOOOOOO, THE GUY ON THE ROOF AT THE END. YOU DIDN’T😂😭
I love that his sword at the start isn’t a full battle sword showing that he is mainly an archer and so wouldn’t have a full large blade
ODYSSEUS SLUMPING DOWN ON THE COUCH AND MOONS ABOUT PENELOPE TO CIRCE IS SOOOO REAL AHHHHHH
I think this might be the best the are other ways animatic I’ve seen. The cauldron part was amazing and the way Circe grabs Odysseus’s face at the end was hilarious
THAT WAS SO GOOD! I love the way that Ody mentally holds hands with Penelope, they are such a couple (also tree bed). 1:25 you can _see_ the longing for his wife in his eyes. 1:30 Ody collapsing on the couch/bed while Circe just scoots away. AND CIRCE UNTYING HER HAIR GOES SO HARD! Also 2:15 THAT PUFF OF SMOKE ON THE BEAT AAAAA. Beautiful! Love everything about this!

I also noticed that the colour pallet changes to that of Monster when she talks about the Underworld, gigi you genius.
Circe legit a couch therapist for a moment there lol. Beautiful, stunning work Gigi!!
I think so much about kindness vs ruthlessness in epic, I’ll never get over how this song and the verse about kindness is the last thing that happens before ody heads to the underworld and becomes the monster he needs to be to get home. Like. He wouldn’t have gotten to the underworld without kindness and vulnerability, and even leaves Circe with a new perspective on what it means to be kind. But without becoming ruthless, ody never would have made it home. You can’t be kind in war (even tho the war’s over technically this is still a war against the elements/the gods) because all that does is leave yourself open to a counterattack. Yet, Odysseus inspires Circe to be kinder. Circe’s history with men killing her nymphs made her completely cold; Odysseus warmed her back up just enough. She’s not naive enough to let her nymphs be hurt, but open to the idea that some people do have good intentions. It’s almost like Odysseus knew what he had to do subconsciously, and wanted to impart Polite’s message of kindness with someone else before needing to destroy it from himself entirely. Sorry for the wall of text I’ve been thinking abt this so much lol

This is my favorite interpretation of that whole situation!
Omg her making the potions is such a smart touch
