I really like this technique and I feel that it would work well with older children. I have an activity that I do whereby I read a book about worries and then i have the children write down their worries and feed them into a monster face, which has been glued onto a piece of paper and this works well with younger children. Thank-you for sharing.
I love this technique and use it in my play therapy practice! It is very easy to do and children respond well to it!

Love the metaphor! How would you modify this to use with a 6 year old?
Can this technique be used with very young children? Specifically ages 3-5. Looking for activities to use with very young kids to help them to identify their feelings and develop coping skills.
This technique sounds great...what age group would you recommend this activity for?

+natalie harmon (chaosforkisses) Yes that would work, although I prefer paper so client can write the worries on the strips of paper.
I love your work! :)
