@@_LoveMeKnot if I remember correctly there was ignorance/or lack of knowledge or at the very least felt like there was no respect for what he had done or knowing anything about him at all. Like if Em was in an interview and the person was just completely rude and was disrespectful. Something like that, but again, it may be a different person I’m thinking of.

around 6:30 it also is that his music was kind of built around feeling pain. I think he mentioned in an interview that he feared that if he didn't write about his pains and fears anymore, people wouldn't really relate. That also puts the lines "They waiting on me to match the emotion that I had in the last one. But if I don't they gonn' tell me that I'm losing my passion; if I do, am I repeating my actions?" in context. I think he was and maybe still is split between advancing and healing or holding on to writing music about his trauma. In the HOPE album he kind of opened up a little bit and for him personally I think that's great. But in Happy for example he describes exactly that fear of losing the relatability again. Personally I think both his old and new songs are relatable and are great music. He's a lyrical genius and that's why I love his music
