I feel like you went into this reaction feeling a little pressured by your gal, and not open minded enough, but your post song synopsis was really fair, and you made some really good points and observations, so kudos to you for that. Something to just throw out there, and maybe your gal has said this already since you now have heard a Ren song, people suggest this as an introduction to Ren, simply because it tells a little of his backstory and was the song that made his popularity explode. I don't think it's a song that most people would put on their playlist or jam in their car either, it's more like a one man art house performance piece. I've been playing, creating and listening to music professionally and recreationally for over 30yrs, I was slow to warm up to this guy too, but I've never seen someone that lives and breaths music out of every part of his body like Ren. I also haven't seen anyone that can take on any music genre and create a song in it, like that's the only genre they do, so you and your gal may not like the same Ren songs, but I'm willing to bet he's got at least a couple in his catalogue that you would truly enjoy. Thanks I really appreciate it. Yeah my girl told me it's a first part to a whole story. And she said since I liked his actual singing parts, there are sins I might like more because it has more singing. Ima react to more as my gf shows me.

I came across this video one day over a year ago. I haven’t looked back. This video got me intrigued, so I listened to more of his music. Over a year has gone by, and I still haven’t found a bad song from him. His Sick Boi album, which debuted at #1 in the UK, is mostly a rap album. I don’t even listen to rap and I own something like 11 copies in one form or another.😂 Sounds crazy, but his talent is on another level. You hopped on the train at the right time it seems. Rens next album will be mostly all singing and instruments. Ren shreds on guitar, plays piano like nobody’s business, beatboxes, and produces his own beats (when he’s not doing retakes of existing songs). Also, he’s an independent artist with a fantastic team of highly talented people that he surrounds himself with. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to explore more of his work. He’s not like anyone I’ve ever heard and I’m nearly 50 years old. I think you’ll enjoy his old band, The Big Push. Especially if you dig John Mayers music. The whole band is super talented. There’s 4 members of that band. The other guitarists/singers in the band, have their own KZread channels and make their own music. They only broke up because they were all going off to do their own thing. Ren to Canada for treatment, Gorran Kendall took off traveling, Romain Axisa stayed in Brighton, UK, and Glenn Chambers, the drummer, moved to Australia. Each artist is great at what they do as well as being unique. Definitely check out The Big Push. Anything by them is great, trust me. You can’t go wrong. As far as your reactions, I’ve seen a gazillion by now. Watch, listen, and if you have something you want to say, pause the video and just go back a few seconds before starting again to keep with the flow of the song. Your gf has good taste in music 😂Take care

Also check out his song with chinchilla called chalk outlines he sings in that one. Or the tale of Jenny n screech. He’s a great singer and rapper and storyteller that can play acoustic and electric guitar, bass, piano.

My friend. This is an understandable reaction of a musician in the sense of reacting on a video on KZread. Your reaction was fair…. I recommend you Listen to this and a few of his recent others without recording for KZread and with an open heart to feel his message. Not to determine whether or not you would hit replay on this song… I guarantee he will open you to a new part of yourself that you will appreciate and thank your girlfriend. She has given you a gift that will give you views on KZread but more so she has given you the gift of Ren and an opportunity to see something that is incredibly profound and important. So Ren @Renmakesmusic is on one of the narrowest diet on account of his illness and ailments. Probably for life. He'd have to forego both the drink and the meal. In fact, he needs to cook, rather bake his meal himself, which makes travelling a challenge. Should you own an oven, that might better you chances of him turning up at your place 🙂

You asked if you should be talking throughout or afterwards. I watch a lot of music video reactions, and everyone does it their own way. I personally prefer it when reactors pause after every verse to give their opinions. Some people hate pausing. Ren doesn't copyright strike reactors, so you can just let his video play as is. Reactors put filters on videos to keep from getting stricken. I think pausing helps with that, too.

Just wondering if your girlfriend listens to lot of Ren, how have you not heard any of his singing? She must use headphones. But yes. He has a lot of singing. Can't have a drink or a neal with him tho. He can onlt eat about 6 foods abd doesn’t drink. He has many ongoing serious autoimmune conditions which he has been in treatment for in Canada all this past year. Psychosis terrified him as well and was caused by Lyme disease and 7 years of misdiagnosis abd inappropriate drugs and being told his pain and fatigue was all in his head. Try listening to Chalk Outlines live with Chinchilla for his singing. Better i think to pause while you comment ans then rewund a few seconds so we can hear your comments and you don't miss anything.
