Wow, so that’s what Ki-Adi-Mundi looked like at age… -26? Wait… Born 93BBY, died during order 66 in 19 BBY, making him 74 at the time of his death. Acolyte is supposed to be 100 years before the rise of the empire. If the empire rose in 19BBY, that means what we’re watching in the Acolyte is happening in 119BBY. I checked IMDB and confirmed the character we saw is in fact Ki-Adi-Mundi. So, I guess all I can say is, he looks very mature considering the fact that he won’t be born for another 26 years. Or I’m just terrible at math, I don’t know. 🤷🏻

I can't remember the exact wording, but Mae says something about her master, criticising something about him, and Squirrely goes to argue with her saying 'I didn't-' or something, before stopping himself. I'd have to watch it again to recall the exact wording and I honestly don't know if I want to.

They haven’t established that it’s a Sith. Literally no one says that among the Jedi Masters: they all assume that she was trained by a fallen Jedi. Using the force to slow your decent is youngling material, it’s not flying… Jedi can literally hover when meditating.

The part that got me was when the padawan said “they saw the wookie vanish into the forest and never came back”. Immediately afterward, Sol looks into the forest and says “He is in there”. Oh you don’t say?

8 Jedi including a Master Jedi, and 1 force sensitive are all together, and absolutely none of them can sense through the force in the slightest bit, another master Jedi whom many of them already know personally and presumably have a connection to, nor sense a powerful dark side force user that is hiding up in a tree a few feet away from them. So all these long time expert force users are so inept they require the assistance of a bloodhound alien. It is obvious that the people writing and directing this episode have never seen Star Wars. What a complete and total shit show.

If he’s a sith then he would clearly be able to mask his presence… palpatine did the same + more in front of half the council, in his office covered in sith artifacts. That’s not an issue The premise of 4 Jedi being hunted down 1 by 1 is actually quite interesting. It’s not Andor level writing , it’s not book of boba bad, it feels obi wan averageness with n extra shiny budget. And as for the nigthsister coven, ofc they have a wonky view of the force. @jacksonboardman386 I understand, but keep in mind that just because one very powerful sith lord (Palpatine) was able to mask his presence from the jedi council 100 years later, does not mean that all dark force users before and after him can perfectly hide their presence always, even from a group of experienced Jedi. It just doesn't add up. The more likely explanation is, a hack writer wrote the episode who has never watched Star Wars, but instead just read some prequel talking points that some PA printed out. Hey man, I wanted this show to be good also, really, but the reality is the writing is just absolute trash.

@@Smj1303Rebels, Rogue One, Resistance, Mandalorian, Andor, The Bad Batch, Clone Wars Season 7, Visions, Tales of the Jedi, Tales of the Empire. Seems like plenty of good choices still. I for one am enjoying The Acolyte. It’s getting better with each episode. It’s by no means up there with shows like House of the Dragon, but it’s still good.

Welp so much for, "The sith have been dead for over a millennium."

Mundi isn't even born for another 40 years.

The twins mother is alive. The big reveal will absolutely include the line, "I am your Mother."

I was totally waiting for Sol to do a call back and say..."They fly now?!" Sith flight would have been a game changer for every critical sith battle. No more getting thrown down power shafts.

It's like they completely forgot that this is 100 years BEFORE everything we've seen in Star wars history....

When they were talking about "Family", I was literally expecting Dom and Letty to walk right in

I love that the Sith Floated down like Xenomorph in Alien but the dialogue and lore break last episode and inconsistencies in the plot and characters or jedi, and yeah tracker was also dumb, a lot of dumb with few concepts that could have been woven into a great show

It is generally a grievous error not to invoke the best Harry Potter spell before watching Acolyte: "Drink-ass Patronus!"

If this fits into their agenda...then Asian dude has to be the Sith, or any man in the show... Coz it's so damn obvious that the writer try to say women don't need men~~ women are fine on their own, and men just destroy everything.

That was actually a really cool episode. To say he was flying is an overstatement, we’ve seen palpatine and dooku float down from high surfaces to low ground in clone wars plenty of times.

@@dbks_yeah man this channel and others like it are pretty pathetic to watch. Like the floating thing - others have done it, just looking for something to complain about, same with mundi being around - his birthdate and species lifespan in legends isn’t canon anymore so why not. We don’t know if they are facing sith or something else so it might not be contradictory to his line in the prequels. I’m all about anti-woke whatever but these “fans” genuinely seem to hate anything involving a woman now.

I love how when they have to explain how this is possible in lore they go towards secrecy and silence. For example in Star Trek Discovery Michael Burnham is Spock’s “sister” but they keep it 🤫🤐🫢 just so they don’t have to actually write a compelling story.

That would be too cool of a twist for the show first of all, and even if that was true, it would fall flat and be so wasted because the build up to that reveal would have been lackluster.

Theory, this wasn't a watch party for episode 4 this was a woke wake, disney are incompetent.

In the Plagueis book, they do talk about how some sith were able to fly and become invisible, so not out of the realm of possibility

i was trying so hard not to fall asleep this episode

$180 million dollar budget and the bigfoot from Harry and the Henderson's is a Jedi. Right.

A force user could fly using the force. They've jumped huge gaps before.

Yah, Yoda would be all over this issue. He would have sensed the deaths and tremors in the force. He should have been shown by now or at least mentioned.

I mean i remember dooku casually levitating in 2003 CW, not to mention levitating during meditation, feels a bit nick picky honestly. Don't get me wrong the show is bad but that was actually fine, not like this is Reys bs force healing or anything and it's not like he is zooming around the battlefield. Also a lot more believable then the inquisitors helicopter flying.

Fun fact: one episode of this “show” has more budget than the entire Godzilla Minus One movie.

If everybody dies, Yoda can show up at the very end and say, "delete all records of these events, we must." It's already a $180 waste of time.

the floating sith thing is a weird thing to be mad at. There are a lot of other things which break canon to be annoyed by

It's more how exaggerated everything is, from two girls being pooped out by the force to Sith floating around when that had rarely been seen in Lucas's movies. Note the Disney trend

Just like the fans kept referring to Grogu as Baby Yoda after the name reveal, this "sith" is going to forever be Smylo Ren

they need more setup with the potion maker to give it a good execution. he seemed added specifically to give this show a bad guy. Say if this character was introduced in another series just as a side, and now in this show is not only a focus but also revealed to be the acolyte would be pre cool

Haven't seen how they did it in the Acolyte, but in the 2003 animation Dooku simply slowed his descent with the force. he wasn't flying, it was more like a slo-mo force jump.

It was better than last week. The part with the insects in the forest could have been longer The episodes are too damn short I'm going to start watching it every 2 weeks

Watch the bugs come back to save the day later when lightsabers are drawn. Thats the entire purpose of the bug scene. To show that they're drawn to light.

My favorite part of the episode was when the diverse female lead said “I’ll be back” as she decided to keep the ring of power.
