Rest in heavenly peace Alan Thicke. The 80's and 90's were all that and awesome when it came to t.v. shows and cartoons. Growing Pains, Full House, Family Matters and so much more taught and brought family values and love. These shows were my sweet childhood and I loved watching shows like this with my mom and dad and big brother. These kind of shows bring you comfort and peace the opposite of the shows today. I wish I can go back to those simple times and just dwell in them forever.
I’m 42 and loved watching this show when I was a kid. Every time I heard this song, I remember a lot of happiness watching this with my sister and parents.

Rest in Peace Alan. Great show, great theme song too.
This is without a doubt the greatest family sitcom ever! it's funny addresses serious topics and teaches life lessons the acting is great and the actors are hot and the theme song is catchy. It's the perfect show!
Blows my mind a bit that as popular as this show was the token kid added after the show jumped the shark would be bigger than every other cast member combined.

I have a theory about Leo's inclusion in the series. Remember that, at this time, he wasn't "King Of The World" or the megastar he is now. This was one of his first roles. I think they added him to the cast, to test the waters and see how popular he would be, and if there was another season, they would have him, and then ditch Kirk Cameron from the show, who had been causing trouble by imposing his religious beliefs on scripts, and badmouthing the show by saying how "UnChristian" it was. I believe Leo was brought in as a replacement, so that the females fans would be drawn to him instead, and then they had no reason to keep Kirk Cameron on the show, and write him off. But they didn't get another season, so firing Kirk Cameron never happened.

This was a great show back in the days growing up. Great actors and actresses. Shows these days are not made like the shows back in the 80's that was family oriented. In my opinion the shows in the 2000's are not worth watching. Thanks Alan Thicke for the laughs, fun and memories.

I randomly saw Joanna Kerns a few years ago in Burbank. I was cursing because parking wasn't allowed where I was trying to park (on a Wednesday at 1:00 or whatever the eff it was) so she kind of scowled at me. Anyway, she is still hot AF to this day. 100% true story.

I was born in 1979. This was one of my most favorite 3 shows. I have already love the theme song, it never gets old. The song always gave me a fuzzy wuzzy pleasant feeling before. I haven't seen the show in any form of syndication for awhile. For some reason, I thought about the show and the song today. Instead of giving me that fuzzy wuzzy feeling, that I was used to.... I felt a VERY sad, regretful feeling. Like its depressing to think the show and song are 30yrs old. Feels like yesterday. And how I realize how much of my childhood that I took for granted because I was do busy planning all the stuff I wanted to do once I became an adult. Now at 29, i regretfully wish I can be 8 again and appreciate that time more. But now its kinda too late to do so.
