Andrew Amezcua wait he does?? Shit I must’ve completely forgot
All of a sudden this version of the song just popped into my head. As a child I remember how good it used to make me feel
80’s/90’s kid here. Watched this show from start to finish, and I remember liking this version a lot back then. Returning to it almost 30 years later and listening to the lyrics, I’m a total mess. I miss these kinds of values and ideals that existed back then-even if it was just a TV show. This is the stuff that helped raise me. Bring it back!!
The best version of this theme, which is still one of the best TV theme songs in history.

One of my favorite theme song versions ever.
As a 80s / 90s kid... This show taught us how to treat others and for certain impacted our generation. Too bad shows today don't teach kids lessons. The theme spoke to us and reminded me of a happier era. This a capella theme was totally modern for a sitcom in the day.

Other than what do we do...this is by far the greatest remade theme version period!!!
Show me that smile again. (Show me that smile) Don’t waste another minute on your cryin’. We’re nowhere near the end (nowhere near) The best is ready to begin. Oooohhh. As long as we got each other We got the world spinnin’ right in our hands. Baby you and me, we gotta be The luckiest dreamers who never quit dreamin’. As long as we keep on givin’ we can take anything that comes our way Baby, rain or shine, all the time We got each other Sharin’ the laughter and love
What's good about this version, is you can now understand all the words.

I love this version a lot better, it's more loving & feeling, you can actually feel the love & emotion with the song & pictures that are being shown on here! I always wanted a family like this, Prayed for a family like this, just one day waking up to a Beautiful Family like this that was actually mine! & I knew I was truly loved, by them all, no matter what I did, good or bad! Thank You for sharing this with us all, the writers, producers, etc. I enjoyed this show so much when it's on! Still, watch it till this day!

Me too shit I even wanted friends who exhibited these qualities
the season six theme of growing pains always had a somber tone... like something is ending. one of the best sit-coms of the 1980's. and a gifted songwriter who wrote the different strokes theme song...
This version really highlights the power of the lyrics. Great lyrics!!

My favorite version.
Damn, why can't we just go back to this time...
The full version of this NEEDS to be made available.
They couldn't have pulled together a better cast if they tried!!! From the theme song, to the cast, & episodes...I feel honored, & lucky to say, my early teen years were filled with this show, & shows like this in the 70's, & 80's... I wouldn't trade it for anything ♡
This brings tears to my eyes i miss those times
Growing Pains is a gem of a show it's funny the acting is good it addresses serious topics it teaches important life lessons and it has a few fourth wall episodes that are genuinely creative. Good show
This is the best version of show me that smile.
I had the original song in my top 20 TV themes... But this acapella remix, puts it in my top 3 all time!!!!!!
I always wanted to be a SEAVER. I'M SO SAD HE IS GONE REST IN PEACE ALAN THICKE.
A reminder of how good this life is.
My heart is broken. Our tv dad is gone. Rest in peace. 💔
Rip Alan Thicke ...You will be missed and never forgotten...I always looked up to you and Kirk Cameron's characters and you brought "sharing the laughter and love" as quoted in the theme song. To Alan Thicke
If you didn’t shed a tear....... Why are you EVEN listening to this song ????????
To everyone asking, yes it is Rockapella from Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. For season 6, the song was sung a cappella by the group Rockapella (Where In the World Is Carmen Sandiego?).

PredatorKingdom This is not the best theme for the series. Its weird. The earlier ones had a rock tempo with the electric guitar riff. That WAS 80s, this is some weird retro sh-t.

@@552mustang I'm sorry you feel that way. The majority of the comments here tend to appreciate the simplicity and raw emotion that went into this version of the theme song. Personally, I like this version because of how it makes me feel warm and loved. While the other versions bring a smile to my face, Rockapella's version holds a special place in my heart as being the best. Agree to disagree, right?
