Mine too! All-weather players or pretenders to the throne...
The first time I saw Qotsa was April 10 2005 in Calgary. Alain and Natasha were in the band. I was 18 and on ecstasy. Near the end of the set they played Long Slow Goodbye and I figured this was the last song, so I rushed from the front barrier into the pit, where a couple of guys were more than happy to lift me up to start crowdsurfing. I surfed for what seemed like an eternity, until I eventually made my way to the front and security pulled me across the same barrier I had just left moments before (kicking most of my friends in the head in the process). Josh commented appropriately after the song ended, saying “If you can crowdsurf to that, you can crowdsurf to Lawrence Fucking Welk.” Then they ended the show with Someone’s In The Wolf. Good fucking times.

godammit, joshua m. f*cking homme is brilliant...at just everything. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road??? he's a "homeboy" of sorts--i lived in the palm springs/palm desert area for 25 years, saw Kyuss at a house party when they called themselves Sons of Kyuss. they weren't very good...but they weren't bad either. just young. me too...i was 19, was wearing this old ripped up SAMHAIN t-shirt, and Garcia noticed...said, "HEY YOU!! in the Samhain shirt! this is for you..." then they proceeded to semi-hack up what i presume was a Samhain song (never been able to place it)...NGL, i felt kind of obligated to show more enthusiasm than i was feeling...but now kind of a cool memory from almost 35 yrs ago.
