I also teared up because I know I'll never have a dad like that.

My dad did this for me when he married my mom when i was 6. He gave me a necklace at the wedding, but held onto it for me until I turned 18. That morning he gave it to me to keep, and reaffirmed his love for me. I have never considered him my step-dad. He is 100% my father and he legally adopted me. He is my world and I would die for him if I had to.

I did this as well at my wedding, I made my views to my husband, and before we kissed I called my step son over to us took his hands and told him the vows I made for him as well. Everyone was teary eyed. I didn’t tell anyone I was doing that and now we have a really good relationship. And I wouldn’t trade him for anything

My stepdad has been nothing but amazing to me he was there for me when my biological dad was at war and couldn’t be there for me. My stepdad fought for me and fought by my side and when I graduated this years and I walked up to him in my graduation gown he said “baby you look so beautiful I’m so proud of you!” I bursted into tears after that! My experience was the opposite. I'm 73 now and remember my stepmother's words like it was yesterday.... I asked her why all dressed up? She said she was going to a wedding but it was for Family Only.....

If only every step child had this type of love from their step parents. This is real unconditional love. The torture that often comes from the step parents is the total of what he chose to give. Thank you dear sir for showing the world how to love us.

Im really sorry that you saw the situation like this, but I promise you there are good people out there, not everyone have bad intentions, although many do, there are still good in humanity. @@patinmalokero1482 I like your young progressive thinking but the world is dark, disguised ..Why do you think 80% of marriage ended by women 🤔, people are now understanding the darker side of women far worse than men. Taking his child, home, finances while also cheating.

I have the utmost respect for men who marry a family like this!!! My own father did the same thing! And was even more of a father to my older step sister than her actual father!!!
