The second time I saw them live in august 2019 they opened with this song, and the pit that formed around me was instantaneous, they hadn’t even dropped the fucking curtain yet 😭

5:06 - Actually during this IOWA album era members of the band said these were the darkest times for them because most of them were alcoholics or battling drug addiction so probably you are right with the cocaine xd. For example Corey said he drank 3 bottles of whiskey everyday. In the studio when recording the songs for the album Corey was vomiting on himself and cutting himself with broken glass just to ´´feel something´´.

They had been on tour almost constantly for nearly 3 years by that point so with the exception of Joey/Paul and Clown/Sid they all pretty much hated each other.

Yes cocaine is so true R.I.P Paul Grey, he battled cocaine addiction for a long time. Same Joey R.I.P, battled alcoholism. Most of the greatest tracks were written by both of them.

The masks update just about every album cycle, with a few changes made during the tours. Sid, Clown, and Corey, typically change the most, while most of the band makes small adjustments, if any change at all. Besides the newest members, who are still settling into theirs.

I've seen Corey in a few concerts, honestly have to say he really cares about the crowd not just the show. His voice has so many different levels in it. He is a big reason, why I got through my deployments in Afghanistan with his energy.

This entire concert is epic! People always talk about Download Festival 2009 being their best live show but for me this is the most raw and hyping show.

This was the opener 😁 The whole show 'Disasterpieces London 2002' is on YT with backstage footage too, inc them being sick in their masks 🤮

Still my all time favourite gig I’ve been to. Nothing will come close to seeing them live at during this period of slipknot shows. So aggressive, amazing and beastly.

I remember going to this tour in Dublin and couldn't speak after for 3 days. I literally crawled out of that place from not being able to keep my shit together, jumping around like crazy and my legs hurt for days after. I would do it all again. Slipknot live is something you must experience to believe. The energy is immense its like being possessed lol

You need to see the later version of this live. It'll blow your mind.

So I actually watched Slipknot and 1999 in Detroit Michigan and then just earlier this year in March I watched them up in Kansas now that I am a crisp 43 years old.. And they still play with the same energy

so first masks they had were at 1999 album slipknot, second change is at 2002 at Iowa where this song is, third change is at 2004 when vol. 3 (the sublimital verses) fourth is at 2008 album all hope is gone fifth is at 2014 at album the grey chapter sixth is at 2018 at we are not your kind and final at 2020 at the end so far

This tells how old I am, I bought this when it first came out in DVD back in 2001. 🤣🤣
