I used to be a fanboy of Yasir Qadhi. I used to listen to him a lot. Wallahi this Yajuj wa Majuj lecture of bothered me a lot when I first was listening during his series of Signs of Judgement Day. I had to listen to it twice to understand what he was taking about. I still didn't get and couldn't believe what he was saying. Then Alhamdulillah refutations came across from Sajid and others. At first I found myself defending Yasir because I loved listening to him then after listening to refutations against Yasir I had to accept the truth. I had to choose Islam over blind love of a "scholar" who keeps making huge mistakes. Never follow anyone blindly. There are a lot of real and trustworthy scholars around the world. Listen to them but never follow anyone blindly.

The fact that you got confused after his ya'juj ma'juj lecture showed that you already followed something blindly, why did that lecture bother u? because u already followed a commonly accepted narrative, and hearing something different is strange to you, but hey, thats fine, everyone does that, but its what you do with that feeling is whats important innit? but it seems like you didnt do the right thing with that feeling and instead u went on slandering an esteemed scholar on the internet, so keep on telling yourself to never follow anyone blindly, but just know that you yourself need that advice the most, take a look in the mirror m8

I feel sorry for the people who are into this 'follow' culture. Once they start following someone they don't bother to do their own research and become zombies themselves. While it is the responsibility of the educated to pass on the right knowledge, we as laymen need to realize that scholars or speakers or students of knowledge even, are not infallible. And in today's times with the ease in access to information, we need to go back to our sources and confirm everything to the best of our ability.

For example I'm a layman muslim I want understanding of Islam that is the closest to the truth What can i do? Find someone who is knowledgeable, wise and has credentials I know that YQ has credentials and I personally found his lectures to be nuanced, wise and beneficial So there are 2 possible ways i, a layman muslim, would dismiss YQ's position on anything 1. Some 'alim with good credentials who i find wiser and more knowledgeable comes along and refutes YQ's position. Then i would prefer this new 'alim's opinion over the opinion of YQ But I don't see that 'alim. With admiration to every caller to Islam, I don't find Farid and Daniel and Sajeed etc to be nuanced and wiser etc in their content, so I won't prefer their opinion over YQ's 2. YQ says something that goes directly against clear aspect of Islam You talk about doing "one's own research" and "right knowledge", but what if Quran and Sunnah don't establish clearly that these tribes are alive today (that hadeeth was found problematic by Ibn Kaseer, for example). So is YQ's position "wrong knowledge" because he adopts a minority position while having precedent? And am i wrong for following him so that you should feel sorry for me, my muslim brother?

@@tryer3 There is nothing wrong in "following" I fact it is a good thing to follow and now invent things in the religion, however you follow the scholars of ahld sunnah wa aljama'a who take their views from their salaf and now make up stuff from their brains, you said yasir has credentials and is wise, well get what ? Everyone has credentials today and as for wisdom, you can't know truly who's wise or dumb in the deen if you yourself is a layman, and yasir qadi is not ( a mujtahid) or someone who reached the level of ijtihaad mutlaq which makes him worthy of being follow on his views as a reliable scholar, and I can tell you that a mujtahid would not fall into the issues as yasir did, so Don't be building conclusions based on a false premise, so if you wanna follow, then follow those who are not upon innovation rather they teach the religion as it was taught from those before them, and this is exactly what the Messenger pbuh said "the saved group is those who are upon what I am upon and my companions" meaning that islam is clear and you should stick to what knows scholars of deen say not even joe and shmoe, if we follow random dudes just bcz they got a degree every now and then, and follow their weird absurdities that clearly go against Islam, then in just a 50 year period, you'd end up with a new religion totally different from Islam, so may Allah make us from those who follow the path of the Messenger and those after him and not of the innovators .

What's interesting is that the North Sentinel island near the Indian subcontinent has a race of people who are completely cut off from the modern world and any attempts to socialize with the tribes residing in this island have resulted in bloodshed. There was a Christian preacher who tried to convert the tribe and he ended up dead. Let us be real, if there can exist one race of people who are completely against the rest of humanity mingling with them and do not use any reason and their first impulse is to kill men they come in contact with. How can we then question Gog and Magog who are entrapped in an area unknown to us. It is a matter of the Unseen and as Muslims, we hear and obey

If you are implying this tribe is Ya'jūj Wa Ma'jūj, then no. They are sealed off, no one can enter upon them nor can they exit from their seal. The Sahīh Hadīth in Sunan ibn Mājah is clear that whensoever they dig and open a hole, it shuts and becomes stronger each time. By this Hadīth, the other Hadīth is understood when the Prophet (ﷺ) made a circle with the use of his two fingers that the hole has opened and it was this big. Afterwards as mentioned in the previous Hadīth, the hole closes.

Even Google Maps just offers aerial views, it doesn't mean that we as humans have traversed and covered all of the areas in a mountainous region, there is always a possibility that there is unexplored features within hills and mountains we haven't explored like pits, barriers, etc. We have to be remember that there are certain areas which haven't been thoroughly explored. If every part of the earth was explored, we wouldn't be finding new reserves of mines, fossils, historical ruins, etc like we are today

@@Kimeikus The point is that there is no reason to believe it. If there was then there would be no difficulty in believing it. Since the world mostly mapped and understood, it is hard to accept that billions of people are alive somewhere behind a wall, you would have to believe that it be a miracle. By definition, some miracles are those that cannot be explained by natural causes - hard to believe without Allah swt. Thats what he means by it being difficult to accept in that regard. The idea that someone is thrown into fire for an extended period of time and survives is hard to believe, however none of us doubt for a second that this happened to Ibrahim AS, because Allah makes all conceivable things possible and it is easy for him. But sheikh yasir is only arguing that it is difficult in that regard, not that it is hard to believe that Allah swt can make it happen should he so will.

I have never been a fan of Yasir Qadhi or any of the so-called "celebrity Imams or Sheikhs". I converted to Islam in the early 90s, so this was before the internet transformed so many of Ummat into "Mashaayikh". A couple years after my conversion, I was blessed with the opportunity (الحمد لله على نعمه التي لا تحصى) to study under some traditional scholars. Even after over 20 years, I still remember one of my teachers telling me to beware of "celebrity Imams". It's one thing for someone to become famous because of their knowledge, piety, and adab. If this wasn't the case, we wouldn't still be talking about such giants as Imams Abu Hanifa, Shafi, ibn Hanbal, Malik, their students and the Imams of hadith and so on رحمهم الله جميعا. Traditionally, it was understood that a seeker of Islamic knowledge knew his or her place so to speak, and conducted themselves with a sense of التواضع humility. Unfortunately, nowadays, someone with a B.A., an M.A. or even a PHD or perhaps not even any of the above, readily give Fataawa without hesitation, or their own "personal ijtihaad". These same people would not even have been allowed to speak in the Majaalis of true scholars let alone give their opinions. The sad thing is that so many are being mislead by them. أسأل الله تعالى أن يهدينا ويحفظنا جميعا

8 major benefits of Astaghfar in the Quran. 1. It opens the doors of mercy. The Quran says, “Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver.”[Quran 71:10] 2. It will give you wealth and children. The Quran says, “And give you increase in wealth and children.” [Quran, 71:12] 3. A Believer’s Dua gets accepted. There’s nothing better for a believer that all the duas that he or she makes in hopes that they will one day get accepted by their lord, actually get fulfilled. Astagfirullah has the power to make a Muslim’s duas get accepted. 4. Astagfar provides sustenance. The Quran says, “Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term and give every doer of favour his favour” [Quran, 11:3] 5. A Muslim is not punished while they seek forgiveness. The Quran says, “And Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness ” [Quran, 8:33] 6. Allah will send the rain of mercy. The Quran says, “He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers.” [Quran, 71:11] 7. Adding strength in our lives. The Quran says, “. . . ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in showers and increase you in strength [added] to your strength.” [Quran 11:52] 8. Allah will provide you with gardens and rivers. The Quran says, “. . . and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.” [Quran, 71:12]

I think there's some Islamic channel that also have a similar problem, but it's with their thumbnails. They write things like " *YAJUJ AND MAJUJ* ... !* " on it with a picture of some monsters/goblins/zombies from some movies. I also saw some thumbnails of videos about the angels using images of horses with wings. We don't know what angels look like, they should not even try to represent them. I understand that they don't want people to scroll across youtube without looking at their videos but it isn’t permissible to use something haram to give da'wah. Lying, and teaching things that have no foundation in Islam will not help in this life and the other. On top of that, as you said, people might think this is serious and they will start believing in ridiculous things that are not part of Islam at all. May Allah guide all of us and forgive us for the mistakes that we make.

Your reasoning is wrong. To believe in something in the future is different then to believe in something that is occurring in the present. For example, if I tell someone I will help them move houses next week, and the person I’m helping has knowledge that I’ve done this before and knows that I’m also currently helping others , then it isn’t impossible for them to believe that I will do it for them as well. But if someone was to say, I have a Bugatti and big mansion at this location, yet no one can find it, then this belief is blind and merely trusting someone without any evidence. Yasir Qadhi argued that Yajuj have died out, therefore no one can find them. But they will come out from the graves when Allah orders this. His conclusion might be funny to you, but it’s either he believes this or become a ex Muslim and abandon Islam. Because to believe that there exist today a nation bigger then the current population of humanity, behind a wall. And not a single person have found these people is hilarious. And any average person will see that your faith isn’t built upon truth but cope.

Wow, so much energy and effort put into making a video to divide muslims even further over a misunderstanding. YQ was making a side point about the possibilities of future events that none but Allah know.; this isn't haram as far as i know, scholars will have opinions and theories but they are human and allowed to interpret things based on their scholarship. We have to give the shayukh and teachers some space to teach without criticising their every word; this is extreme behaviour unfortunately and a lot of us are missing the manners and fiqh around iqthilaaf. How many events described in the Quraan and prophetic Sunnah are described in terms that didnt happen literally or we couldnt fully understand until after the event. YQ even said 'allahuallam' in the video; its clear it was a point that he was making without it being his primary message. If he wanted to undermine the religion or make light of the sunnah dont you think there would be stronger examples; are we just going to forget the mountains of hours of good he has contributed that blows that theory away? Allah help us.

YQ has an intention to reform Islam when he says there is holes in the QURAN, qomut lut should be given their rights, mocking our scholars the list goes on . By the way people refute the mistakes he is doing . This is not personal but keeping the deen as it was brought by AL MUSTAFA (s.a.w )and passed down by the sahaba and tabieen until now.

agreed but this is not a scholar... The way of being grounded is the way of the believer... Ka'b b. Malik reported on the authority of his father that the similitude of a believer is that of a standing crop. The wind sometimes shakes it and sometimes raises it up and then it comes to its destined end. And the similitude of a hypocrite is that of a cypress tree which is not affected by anything but is uprooted once for all. - Sahih Muslim 2810b Not being grounded in Salafiya for bida/desires is the way of the fallen... Narrated Thawban: The Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him) said: The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish. Someone asked: Will that be because of our small numbers at that time? He replied: No,... but you will be scum carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and last enervation into your hearts. Someone asked: What is wahn (enervation). He replied: Love of the world and dislike of death. - Sunan Abi Dawud 4297 (Sahih Albani), Book Battles (Kitab Al-Malahim) In conclusion : Thawban narrated that the Messenger of Allah(peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I only fear for my Ummah from the misguiding Imams." He said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There will never cease to be a group from my Ummah manifest upon the truth, they will not be harmed by those who forsake them until Allah's Decree comes." - Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2229, Chapters On Al-Fitan

Tawhid, Sunna teach worship & unity from Objective Lawgiver, bida is man-made division & vacum filled with tyranny - paul removed laws so his farisis pay rulers to kill Isa as lobbies do today. Tawhid is tied to safety in Quran 24 :55, & clear Ilm in Qur'an 12 :108. Ext. taqlid is linked to shirk in Quran 9 :31. See Salafi lands level graves and are safe while sufi and shi'a lands elevate graves and teach extreme taqlid to push bida in the name of mathhabs which the mathhab imams said not to do but have clear evidence based unity opposed to blind division and sadly face colony or secularization from that division.... As Malik Shabazz aka Malc X said Oneness of Lord to = Oneness of Man. Tawhid is the first of the pillars of Iman of 6 to guide the individuals acts, an extension of the shahada the 1st of the 5 pillars in Islam to guide the community, and by seeking knowledge based on the correct hadith sciences we can ground firmly, build and guide with the correct manhaj or method in terms of implementing Islam from the individual to society level by priority, 1 issue to the next to gain more then we lose at every turn to the 5 protected pillars of shariah (din, life, mind, family & money) ... however it starts with Tawhid and vocabulary... Quran 2 : 31 - And He (Allah) taught Adam all the names (of everything), ... The Hadith of Jibril taught Muslims how to ground in their religion and direction like 5 pillars of Islam and 6 pillars of Iman... This is Fard al Ayn or obligatory on every individual. The rulings for the 5 preserved pillars of shariah is Fard ul Khaffaya or obligatory on a specialists in the ummah. Between these 2 Fards are the Usuls or principles and sciences of Islam. And the head of the science is Allah's Siffat! Tawhid generally is categorized into 3. Tawhid Rubbubiya / Oneness of Allah's Lordship - Acts & laws of Allah as Creator. Tawhid Ulluhiyah / Allah's sole right to be God or One served as He taught or worshipped. Tawhid Siffat / Correct learning of Allah's Attributes as Unique, Affirmed & Perfect! (Sufi Asharis and fake Hanafis take notes, Abu Hanifa was Salafi Athari in Tawhid)

@@gajiburrahman7378 What about what the Qur'an and Sunnah actually say? That they are a large tribe of creatures hidden behind a barrier and that they are digging each day trying to break free and whenever they get close to breaking free, they pause the work to continue it the next day, only to find that the barrier reverted to its original state by Allah and He will allow them to move when He sees fit. What about their story with Dhu Al Qarnayn which happened in the past. Did Zombies exist in the past? The zombie theory clearly rejects all this (unless if you wish to brainstorm and expand on it to include these points as well). In addition, Yassir Qadhi said that this theory makes more sense than what is in the Qur'an and Sunnah. He may not totally believe in it, but just the idea that he sees it as a possibility says something about him, given how this theory deviates in a large degree from what is in the Qur'an and Sunnah. In my opinion, I think people hide behind this zombie idea and defend it just because it uses scientific terminology (virus, vaccine...)

@Aziz Rahman That's exactly the point brother YQ is trying to make. Go watch YQs latest video on this topic. In summary, he said that the narrative that yajuj and majuj digging behind a trapped wall has a weak chain. Therefore, it isn't required for Muslims to accept and defend it like we defend other authentically reported miracles or signs. Therefore, it can't be called mocking as claimed by many.

He should accept that God alone has complete knowledg of how these things will manifest when they do and we believe in the knowledge that has reached us in the Qur'an and the scholarship.

Bismillah Salaamu alaikum ikhwan. This video and the lack of Akhlaq that allows someone to make this kind of content is really disgusting. This type of mentality really captures why we are so lost as an Ummah - these are our fruits. Our status in the world, our lack of unity in our Masaajid, our coldness when we greet each other, our willingness to rip each other off, abuse our spouses, our silence when fellow Muslims are oppressed and I can go on, but no one really cares because we are occupied making videos trying to discredit others with out any benefit of the doubt being applied. It’s a sickness that is ruining us. Allah is our protector!
