Ten Percent Happier with Dan Harris
Dan Harris is a fidgety, skeptical journalist who had a panic attack on live
national television, which led him to try something he otherwise never would
have considered: meditation. He went on to write the bestselling book, 10%
Happier. On this show, Dan talks with eminent meditation teachers, top
scientists, and even the odd celebrity. Guests include everyone from His
Holiness the Dalai Lama to Brené Brown to Karamo from Queer Eye. On some
episodes, Dan ventures into the deep end of the pool, covering subjects such as
enlightenment and psychedelics. On other episodes, it’s science-based techniques
for issues such as anxiety, productivity, and relationships. Dan's approach is
seemingly modest, but secretly radical: happiness is a skill you can train, just
like working your bicep in the gym. Your progress may be incremental at first,
but like any good investment, it compounds over time.

Very nice... I was around - and many of the names I am familiar with. I was not involved but was definitely interested and open but did not know how to get into it as I was from another country and was raised sheltered. Born a Quaker from where I have come from. I was in the 60's as a foreign student and then immigrated in 1974. I have slowly but surely found my way thru spirituality and several modalities and the latest is Buddhist Dharma which makes a lot of sense.... and it is getting more enjoyable and clear and makes me feel happy and connected inside.. Very nice interview. It filled in the gaps. I remember when Ram Das had the heart Attack. I was in a day meditation workshop in the hospice in San Diego (no longer there...sadly) and they announced it there. I had attended "being with him" twice.... Things definitely evolved for me from that time. Life does unfold in creative ways.

Hello from Brazil! I loved this podcast and the other videos from Ten percent happier. If I could suggest one guest for the podcast, it would be the analyst James Hollis.

He is excellent. His work has made such a difference in my life. Very very cool! I think Dan Harris will also groove in interviewing him and we will in listening to both of them. He is 84 now. So hurry up Dan Harris! LOL
