A (very plausible) theory that's been passed around about Sketchek is that the reason he stopped uploading in 2022 was to quit TF2 and pursue a career as a VTuber. One theory I heard a lot in regards to this is that the reason he did it to distance himself away from the TF2 community because he was worried about how it would take one of their longer-lasting creators suddenly ditching the game and turning violent. So by doing this it allowed him to shed his old identity away, and even when the truth was revealed, only the sketchek brand was tainted so he would be free to start a whole new leaf under a new name

As an addendum to the Sketchek story: Sketchek's back in content creation, under the name Sonny Brisko, a v-tuber. People pieced the similarities together and doubt isn't really allowed. Sonny is an Australian guy expatriated to Japan. Just like Sketchek. Their voices are extremely similar (not to say the exact same). And during a collaboration event where v-tubers of his agency, Sonny played. The game? TF2. Sonny's character? Pyro. And his movement/playstyle was the same as Sketchek, using the same weapon and everything. And even if he tried to hide it, when you spend 8000+ hours on a game, it will show. At this point, it's painfully obvious that Sonny Brisko and Sketchek are one and the same.

  • @hikarupi

Their voices are literally the exact same, just listen to a newer sonny vod or sth and you'll hear it. Also he plays tf2 from time to time whether it's in his IDK streams or membership streams, and he said tf2 is his comfort game so there's that too🥺

The clickbait has been so bad lately, it seems like every other thumbnail on my feed has some red arrow pointing to something obvious, or the host making this face :O, or some blatant CGI not even part of the actual video. Even content creators I respect are using these tricks to some extent, it's annoying and even sad tbh. Thanks for not going down that road wavy and keep up the great content!

I'd always watch his videos and he was a great inspiration for me to get better at the game. I still watch his videos and I'd still like to get to his level one day, but ever since the controversy I cannot look at him the same as a person. Also, fun fact - there is an item (Dead ringer) for the spy class that let's you fake your own death to get out of unfortunate situation and players have been renaming theirs to "Sketchek Bequest" as a joke, I'm planning to do the same lol.

@@sticklyboi Colloquially speaking, yes you could. If simply written with no context, it could equally be vomit, ribbit, or "spilling your guts" (confession), because all three are written in kana. For these expressions (onomatopoeias), there aren't really any kanji, the context is what tells you the meaning. It's really interpretive, he could be juxtaposing each meaning intentionally, or just frog sound. With the code being written the way it is, to me it reads like imitating a frog, and not vomit (verb or noun).

The Sam and Colby kidnap/murder prank was the most insane thing I think I've seen like these cases. Also- Markiplier might as well have a personalized hospital room how much he goes but that's just because he likes to test his limits 😈🤙 and he doesn't dramatize it, he'd be the kind to break his spine and say," don't worry about it"💀

It really ticks me off when people fake or exploit death. Nothing about death is funny or light. We all know people who have died and caused despair and grief to those left behind. Using death for money or attention is so low, harmful, and disrespectful. Thanks for shining a light on this madness and another entertaining video! You are my favorite channel on the platform and can tell stories like no one else! Keep going Wavy!

Tommy and Johnny's video kinda pissed me off extra. I'm physically disabled. I have multiple physical disabilities, including EDS, fibromyalgia, a TBI, POTS, severe asthma, and more. I literally am trapped in my body every day, but its not anything that could get better, and only if something happened would they get significantly worse. I have no cure. Some have treatments, but theyre more like managements than cures. I would kill to be able to just get better. Even to get rid of some of them. I hope everyone who does something like this actually has to deal with something like what they fake. They're part of the reason almost every disabled person online gets fake claimed.

@@Anonymous-54545 the problem is, whether they realize it or no, they do hurt people. Not always directly. People have their ableism reinforced by people pulling that stuff. They make people think almost everyone they see is faking it for some reason. Thats caused both mental distress and actual, physical harm before, and it will continue to. It is one thing when its something like the second guy who didnt do it for more attention and crap like that, whatever, its dumb but it at least doesn't intend to do something actually bad.
