This is very well said. I'm a fan of DVG Games but there is no question their Kickstarter campaigns have been severely lacking lately, particularly in regards to gameplay videos or even just explanations. I did back that recent Vikings game of theirs, but that was a horribly run campaign. The designer himself had KZread videos showing the gameplay, but those videos were never shown or linked on the Kickstarter campaign page. Instead you had to find mention of them in the Comments section and search them out that way. It honestly blew my mind they weren't on the KS page. And to your point, those videos helped sell me on the game. It was a theme I was interested in, but being able to see the game in action was enough to actually convince me to commit the money.

See thats my thought. Using someone else's work to sell your product deserves some thanks know what I mean? Zero Leader was the start of their change of mindset. That was one of the last times they sent review copies but for some reason they sent them to guys who hadn't covered Zero, and had never covered the Leader series. I wasn't the only one wondering what they were thinking with that move. I just don't understand the thought behind it.

Perhaps the company could send a copy of a future game to the reviewer. If I owned the company, I would distribute gift certificates for guys like yourself . Thanks Gimpy,meet here as well

The books that this is based on are fairly obscure; I read the first one or two back in the day.

Great video… I’m bummed by the lackluster performance of this KS, but they have not promoted it at all and you make a lot of solid points about why that is a mistake. For what it is worth, the “ch” is hard. So, it is more like “ka-torr”.

Then they should spell it Katorr!!🤣 Thanks for the support, and you're right it just doesn't make sense not to promote. Especially with how completely easy it is to promote a product in today's world. From what I've been told by some people I think they feel like it's a unnecessary expense. That the benefit doesn't outweigh the cost. It's one of those "stepping over dollars to pick up pennies" things I guess.
