You're dumb. The act didn't get a standing ovation from anyone. Penn turned around and did a violent arm gesture that manipulated everyone into standing up and cheering like idiots. That was the real magic. One guy in a suit controlling hundreds of homeless people.

Notice that Penn motioned the audience to stand. Well deserved.

You just did one of the bravest things a magician can do: you explained the trick up front, and then used that to give the audience a false sense of confidence before playing the real trick. That used to be forbidden in the magic world, and that’s the tactic that got Penn and Teller originally branded as “the bad boys of magic”. And you did all that, performing for _them_ Keep up the good work!

*I remember when I was 11, I could barely even do a homework presentation, publicly speaking in front a class of 25 students. But here she is, doing magic, speaking so eloquently, in front of an entire crowd and 2 magician legends... Just amazing.*

I am glad they respected you enough to not pretend they were fooled as seasoned professional magicians. I was not "fooled", I am old enough to have seen most of this trick many, many times. However, your stage banter and the twist at the end were entertaining and unexpected. Hold your head high, you did yourself proud.

As a former teacher, I can tell you this is a girl who has become an expert at practicing. Practicing endlessly, and remembering the improvements from that practicing. I am 63 years old, but I too did this trick when I was in junior high school before the entire school. While I did indeed fool the kids back then, none of them were Penn and Teller. I wish I had done it as masterfully and as brilliantly as you did. The quick change was spectacular, by the way.

You did an absolute phenomenal job. That ending was absolutely brilliant. I wish I didn't know how this trick was done, just because of how good of a trick it is. I loved seeing Tellers reaction after the quick change.

What made this performance stand out was that brilliant ending. It came out of the air! I didn't expect it because I was looking right at it and didn't see it until she revealed it. Add to it the fact that she looks like a China doll, is totally charming and in control of herself (AND the audience), and indeed you do have the future of magic. Her tears at the end were the perfect prize, and better than the FU trophy could have ever been.

Rachel I know you wanted that trophy I did also. But what you did get was the respect and admiration of everyone who watched you perform your magic. You were brilliant and had such incredible stage presence. You will come back and fool them of that I am sure of.

I liked the quick change that she did behind Teller's back. I hope she goes very far, but that part will only work as along as she has someone much larger than herself to stand behind. But, to have combined the card trick with the quick change was very inventive. She is everything Penn & Teller said she was and more. What a great kid!!!

My like of your video had nothing to do with the magic (though your performance was excellent). You won me over simply with your story prior to your appearance on stage in the clip. I don't know you, but as an educator in upper elementary grades, a Speech and Debate coach, and especially as a parent; I am extremely proud of you. That was a great routine. It reminds me of Asi Wind's performance of Fool Us. He had the best performance in Fool Us history imo so I really mean that as a big compliment.

The American philosopher Charles Sanders Peirce called that habit of assumption making (or guessing) the process of abduction. It is quite amazing seeing an 11 year old teaching the idea on American television. Bravo on the performance, and your intellectual acuity.

I think i know how this was done, but i agree with P&T that it's a great performance and a nice addition to the usual trick. Also, the quick change into the polka dot skirt at the end was a really nice touch. Well done!
