Best episode ever and did I mention Motorhead is in this one? I put this here to show what good clean television was like and this is for educational purposes

My mate and I are both massive fans of both series and have worked together for the last 30 years and on a weekly basis we are able to use at least one of the lines from The Young Ones as part of the day to day conversation. Normally in response to something someone says. It’s puerile and most of the time no one has a fucking clue what we’re on about but it keeps us amused. “Hands up who likes me?” Is a particular favourite of ours

@@WhoAreYou-.-. It was a way of getting the show classed as a variety show rather than as a sitcom, so they could secure a larger budget from the BBC. All but one episode featured a musical act. The remaining episode (Series 1 Episode 6, "Flood") featured a lion tamer whose presence was part of the episode's story.

Besides the four principals, look at the guest stars in this episode: Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Griff Rhys Jones, Mel Smith, Ben Elton, Robbie Coltrane, AND Tony Robinson. Then you have Motörhead??? This is one of the best episodes of any show, ever.
