Jonny Hawkins, you are amazing. you're very intelligent. your lyrics really speak and inspire me. this is coming from a fellow musician who looks at the things you've done and then turn around and look at my own creations, sometimes i say to myself that I can someday make it to the level you are at, other times i don't think i could ever match your talent. i also deal with depression and i fully agree with you that music is an escape from your problems and sorrow and i thank you for sharing your talent and story with the world.

this is why Jonny Hawkins is my long lost brother. Thank you so so much in this video explaining how I feel not being able to outlet my feelings, my thoughts, my heart and soul but at least you know subconsciously how I feel as well. You my kind sir are a revolutionary inspiration to music as well as your band Nothing More for that matter and may God bless you brotha and to Nothing More.

I think that the grief that comes with depression can transform how someone can see themselves relative to the world. I do think that there is absolution to try and move through the struggles of life with grace. However it is a reach for many people philosophically to "choose" to see the entire world as moving forward with grace. Introspection doesn't always mean extrospection. I think the lyrics that you guys have written as well as the music really challenges this dynamic and gives a really raw and honest repose to the deeper existential struggles in life. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that.

It sucks when you turn left and right to people you thought you could trust, begging them for help and they all just kind of turn away... or even get in your way from getting help. I wish so bad I had a relationship with my mom like Jonny had with is... I wish my even gave half a shit... I'm sorry she passed... cancer took the wrong mom

  • @TheLastRosie88

Yeah, well it fucking sucks when you tell your Mom that you have those kind of thoughts and she just shrugs it off sometimes and says "Don't feel like that!" All my Mom does is come home, watch Hulu/Netflix or read books on her phone. It's a pain in the ass. Sometimes family is the reason I don't want to be around anymore. Only person/people I trust are my psych/nurse and my therapist.
