Yes, Lord! I was filled with the Holy Ghost in 1979. I remember the services being so high that some people couldn’t drive home because the anointing was still on them even AFTER the service ended. The pastor had to ask others to drive them home. They would return the next day to get their car. I remember once that my mom had to pull over onto the side of the road because the anointing was still on one of the ladies and as soon as she got out she started shouting. It around midnight!!! Those were the days. Oh and I live in SC. Most of the services we attended were in the rural areas. YES, LORD!!!

Daddy and Mama loved traveling from Lake Wales, Florida to travel to the COGIC Convocation in Memphis. It's a blessing to this Holy Ghost-filled worship service. Yes Lord!!!!🙌🏼🙏🏽

I sure do miss the anointing of that day! We have new moves and perhaps more refined sounds. We present in more eloquent manners and speak we greater vocabularies, but we don’t have the power that we once had! There is a form of godliness, yet lacking the power. Lord God help us as a Church to go back!

With some of the best singers and musicians of the era and a building full of people hungry for an encounter with the Holy Ghost, WHY not SET Aside man's program and let the Holy Spirit lead and explode in the room. That's when people get healed from sickness and set free from bondages. Maybe there would less sexual immortality, abuse and perversion in the church, if we let the real Holy Ghost have reign in our so called Worship Services when He is obviously manifesting! Those two Mothers at the pulpit just poured so to speak a bucket of water on the fire of God's presence, so a man speak. Now, it's rare to even have a worship atmosphere like this today in COGIC. This is bittersweet.
