I disagree, that's what needs to change with how we discipline children, a two or 3 year old shouldn't even know what a switch is, you're teaching them violence by inflicting violence. We have to change our approach to discipline

Amen, mother, parents don't raise their children up the right way, like in the old days, they have lost their touch, they aly their children to do whatever they wants to do. Parents, don't raise their children these days the way we raised our children, we kept our children in line. Amen, Hallelujah, praise God for the truth! ❤ 🙏🙏👏🙌

Rumor has it that she was actually being considered the role for Aretha’s biopic. Vanessa Bell Armstrong, who was very close friends with Aretha knew this lady and was actually on a song with her. I strongly believe she should have played the role.

Love the respect between mother and daughter. Many mothers can use this teaching so they don't dictate to their grown daughters. Communication is important. Listen to each other. Being a mother doesn't mean you know it all.

Whomever it was that created the montage on this video of the "Presiding Bishop's Wives" left out the beautiful and lovely *Mother Leila Washington Mason,* who was actually Bishop Mason's wife when he founded the Church of God in Christ, over a century ago. She was not his first wife. However, he married her after his first wife passed away (from whom he had been divorced) and before he received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost at the Azusa Street Revival. Mother Leila Mason was the proud mother of all 9 of his children, and was his co-laborer in the Gospel during the birthing and infancy of the Church and worked tirelessly by his side in the founding and establishment of what would become the nation's largest African American Pentecostal-Holiness denomination. Rightfully and deservedly acclaimed as one of the main catalysts who pioneered the work along with Bishop Mason, she was highly regarded and respected as her husband's closest and most trusted confidant and counselor. Known as the "Pillar of the Church," Mother Mason used her deep spirituality, seasoned knowledge of the Word, consecrated prayer life, and profound wisdom to guide and assist her husband in the leadership of the thriving and expanding Movement. She served as his greatest advisor, and influenced and impacted all of his major decisions regarding the spiritual, natural, physical and financial growth and development of the Church. Mother Mason worked with Bishop Mason in organizing the founding leadership structure of the Church and in setting up its first governance and administrative apparatus. She organized and directed the logistics for all of Church's early National Assemblies and Convocations and many of the State gatherings as well, and she played a very significant and pivotal role in the formation and establishment of all the Church's original Auxiliaries, Departments and Ministries. It was her voice whom the Lord used and whom her husband listened to in the selection of all women leaders in the Church of that era (including the appointments of the first General Mother, Mother Lizzie Wood Robinson and her protege, Mother Lillian Brooks Coffey); and it was she who advised him on Pastoral appointments for local Missions and Churches and State Overseer assignments (and in 1933 the first 5 Bishops) across the nation and overseas. She led and organized the design, building and furnishing of several Church structures that served the national organization and also many local Missions and Churches. And she is even credited as being the primary driving force behind the design, financing and building of the first National Tabernacle, which tragically burned down during the National Holy Convocation in 1936. After which, it is recorded that she immediately began working on the plans and designs for what would later be built and known as "Mason Temple," the historic World Headquarters of our beloved Church, dedicated in 1945. Unfortunately, Mother Mason did not live to see her beautiful and opulent Temple constructed. She went home to be with the Lord before the work was even started. Bishop Riley F. Williams, whom Bishop Mason appointed as Chairman of the Temple Building Commission, credited her for the initial design concepts and gave leadership to the vision for the Temple that she left behind. Mason Temple stands today as a tribute to her total dedication to the global vision of the Church which she and Bishop Mason shared together working side by side, and is a testament to the extraordinary leadership which she gave to the ministry as she labored in the vineyard during "the heat of the day" when Holiness was not popular, the money was scant, and "Holy Rollers" who danced and "Spoke in Tongues" in the very strict Sanctified Church were often reviled and ostracized. As the *Founding First Lady and Matriarch* of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. who served faithfully and devoutly by the side of her beloved husband for 31 years, Mother Leila Washington Mason must not - *AND WILL NOT* - ever be forgotten, and her legacy as the first Woman of God to labor as the wife of the Senior Bishop (now known as "Presiding Bishop") and Chief Apostle of the worldwide work, stands as a shining example to all of the wonderful ladies who have already followed (including her daughter, Mother Deborah Mason Patterson), and who will one day follow, in her footsteps, and is a monument of praise unto the power and glory of the Lord. *_So, put her picture on that montage where it belongs!!!!_*
