With how amazingly dynamic and customizable the Create trains are now, the 'Trains in Motion' / 'Traincraft Community Edition' mod guys have a LOT to live up to. The moving drive rods, the billowing smoke, the fact you can build the entire thing from scratch however you want or make it whatever color you want, and the ease of custom track placement and automation. TiM and TC will always hold a special place in my heart and I'll still play the mod when it gets fully developed and release for 1.12.2 (as that's the highest version planned for the time being.), but I have to give this win to Create for the moment. So much functionality without sacrificing on the style of creative nature of Minecraft, keeping the 'Sandbox' aspect to the machinery as well without giving it a predefined shape save for the assortment of bogies. Not only are the trains to a proper scale (which personally isn't much of an issue for me, the tiny ones are still cool from TC.), but....have I mentioned the customization yet?

Finally, create mod trains that aren't an amalgamation of grind wheels and pipes that go nowhere.

Reminds me of something I would watch on KZread like 9 years ago. Pretty nostalgic

The Wreck of the Old 97 was an American rail disaster involving the Southern Railway mail train, officially known as the Fast Mail (train number 97), while en route from Monroe, Virginia, to Spencer, North Carolina, on September 27, 1903. Travelling at an excessive speed in an attempt to maintain schedule, the train derailed at the Stillhouse Trestle near Danville, Virginia, where it careened off the side of the bridge, killing 11 on-board personnel and injuring seven others. The wreck inspired a famous railroad ballad, which was the focus of a copyright lawsuit and became seminal in the genre of country music.[1]

@@Jumbo-lb5df That is correct Jumbo. Phantoms tracks wouldn’t be released until about a week or two after this video was made, so I made a texture pack that made default rails invisible instead :)

Despite the wreck being a goods train plunging into the river and bursting the boiler killing the crew by the hot steam was left out, it was for good reason I suppose may they Rest In Peace. Also loved this dude it was awesome.

@@gordonthebigenginenwr4 Well, at the time this video was made I had to make a custom texture that made tracks invisible. But now a days, the Steam and Rails add-on includes phantom tracks, which are invisible :)
