I'm an aggressive BB player so I often get focused on by the enemy because the other BBs are so far back or behind an island. The worst are the ones at the back of the map spamming the com wheel telling everybody where to go and what to shoot at.

Only one thing I hate more, but it's a close call. DD's that hang back behind islands or go the long way round an island and ask for intelligence data despite having a 5km footprint.

The thing that kills it for me is when the match starts and the DD is AFK. It's always the DDs. It's so demoralizing

I've noticed A LOT of DD's doing this lately. Guarantees that red BB'S get first shots off and red DD getting an easy cap

Too many people take the approach of their game in tier IVs and Vs into the top tier and don’t adapt - that just doesn’t work…… and this on top of the long list of BS we run into like people who buy top tier boats before they know the dynamics, AFKs, no camos, the Leroy Jenkins of this world. The state of the player base has just gone down hill dramatically. My Xbox friend couldn’t get a single tier 8 win across 13 or so matches over a few days last week because almost half his team was gone before the 10-11min mark 😂.

Apparently, fun is sporting a 40% winrate and camping in T8 and LRT. It's Tuesday in WoWS Legends.

Probably because most of them are like “I’ll do what they do in movies” and sit full broadside and get nuked and crap themselves and would rather never press forward again instead of learning how to angle.

I was in a game not long ago where one of our cruiser's decided it would be a good idea to immediately reverse, and then park directly next to the cv. Couldn't spot or shoot at almost anything and when he did the cv would take damage due to errant shells meant for the cruiser. It was so perplexing i just started laughing.. i maybe cried a little. 😂

Two dds you are fighting for your side,lo and behold you find that other dd is sniffing your a:s while his team dies on the side he just abandoned...🙄

Unfortunately the free to play model brings out the worst gamers

Lately for some unknown reason I've been experiencing an absolute s*** ton of people who spawn in and have no idea when the game starts or for that matter what the controller is for getting tired of it

There are times where I was forced to camp in a battleship, sometimes it worked, but other times I was usually left unsupported and it's a rather uncomfortable thing to try to slow the enemy team down. Heck when I was playing a destroyer the right way with trying to secure the cap, only to have the CV bother and being forced out of the cap and having to hunt that cv down, and even returned back to the cap, that was the only time I had to operate unsupported and having to reclaim the cap that I forced out of.

well said my guy i always hate when the radar cruisers on my side just rely on me a person with no radar to go out and spot for our team

I'm aggressive and try to put my BB in a good spot so you will never see me out in the middle of the ocean fishing lol 😂😂😂

I unfortunately have to work with someone that can't do the bare minimum and muster the self discipline to show up to work on time when they only live 10 minutes away. So can confirm they are not in the best health mentally and gives up on/ half asses everything.

Great video! As a cruiser player I am tired of carrying a losing team. Players are developing bad habits playing AI. Also when you ask a “teammate” for support and they tell you to shut up: you know your on a losing team (go figure)

I like to spam "Get back" and "Protect that target" to those guys. They seem to really enjoy the attention. 🤣

Agreed back lineing BB,s DDs that do not spot, and CLs that do not use their rader or use it to soon. And yeah CVs that do not spot DDs is not good, but thier is a flip on that to, I play CV every once in awhile, I spot DDs. And here is that flip team mates who do not shoot the DD once its found, they want the CV to kill it. Hitting DDs in a CV is hard so unless the DD player is brain dead, or your using skipbombs your bombs , and torps miss. And after 2 mins of calling out the DD, and it still my team does not shoot it, I go off to start getting things I need to make some cash. Why should I waste time spotting that, if they do not care neither do I. Also I love the airstrike maybe it force players to move,

Had a game where I spawned at C and had turned front of a BB turning to go to A and had the nerve to yell at me for turning in front of him. He ended up sailing to A and dying with the second lowest score. We lost the game. Majority of the team sailed to A and died. Two of us fought a hard battle for C and lost.

BB play is pretty simple. Play your cap, how many ships from the enemy team are playing your cap? More? Get turned out. Less? Bow in, push. Equal? Sit angled 3-5 km behind the cap, close enough to hit contesting DDs, far enough away to dodge torps/get out if need be

U said it though, it’s a team game. Battleship players get used to DDs not spotting, they sit at the back, cruiser players get tired of tanking damage for backlining battleships? Well they’re gonna island camp instead of island hop. DD players getting tired of spotting the red DD, and nobody shooting at it. I call it, The Circle of Potato

I remember i was in a tier 7 lobby and a caraciollo was on my flank went to the other flank and came back I guess he was bored on the side he went to

I tend to play my dd very aggressively trying to spot the other teams dds and get the cap. 98% of the games I play at any tier nobody shoots at them when I get them on grid. When I play my Battleship or cruiser I usually get spawned on the flank side with two other ships. I can’t count how many times they leave and its me trying to hold the flank solo. This game can be very frustrating in regard to team work.

My fleet commander is one of them 😂. Somehow he's also pretty lucky so people casually go broadside to him without the effort to make crossfires and he has the RNG to punish them at that ranges. Love it (I usually don't have the RNG to punish a broadside much closer, but that's a detail). Once, playing in division, I tried to convince him that a battleship should use its hp, but it was useless... sadness. Needless to say we don't play in division anymore

Battleship players have and will always be useless regardless of the what caused it...if they would have supported me I could have taken out the enemy destroyer but they decided to sit in the back and lose

Lately i find myself sending people a message saying "Useless" pretty often ..... 😅

I’ve been seeing a lot of that for the battleships kind of just go around in circles till I get killed stead of moving for cover. I can spot them all day long but if they won’t shoot them we still lose upside is I got 210 damage in a DD

I don’t think the health statement is always accurate, sometimes I’m involved, angling well, and I’ll have two Bismarck’s trying to recreate the Atlantic, 3 yolo destroyers, and a Saipan that thinks it’s a Venator Class Star Destroyer all charging the front line to an enemy force flanking, using islands, and cross firing. Then I feel bad I’m a live til I observe the game again to figure out the only button my team mates know on there controller is the green A button. But I do try to position properly if the team is reasonably playing

As a non-player, sitting here listening to you with the firehose of knowledge spew forth, does my head in sometimes -- I think of myself as a new player trying to grasp it all -- while trying to stay alive is a pretty big hurtle for some. My forte is in the air -- I guess that's why I'm here is because this is all new. Yes, I know -- "you just havta play" but I've been sitting in on first Peek, now your streams and vids for the better part of a year now, and I still wouldn't know what, or where to go. Just my 2 ducketts worth.

I just played a rank game yesterday & 1 cruiser & 2 destroyers on my team was AFK the whole game & me as a battleship player & another Battleship player lost, something needs to be done with AFK PLAYERS

Unfortunately, the server can be the problem and kicks people off. If it was two players, then that is the most likely. I have had it happen too many times. Good internet connection, but kicked off WoW.

In a cruiser set smoke screen then destroyer goes in my smoke screen I have nothing to shoot at don’t figure

just bought balti. i do think I do a decent job with radar. i obviously have used a bad radar or 2, but i feel most of my radars do spot dds. i would absolutely love a radar guide with a ship like balti. I won't say i struggle with radar, but i would love to know what i could do to improve my radar usage.

All these reason are the reason I will play only in divs.

The matchmaking or whatever has been terrible for like 3 weeks now when the Lushun campaign started, it's incomprehensible. Before the update I was finishing sessions with no less than 65% WR and my averages where rocketing, now I'm watching the likes of Lushuns lose to Jagers and it's just miserable. I play as a BB/CL/CA, my DDs get themselves torped sitting idle in smoke, most dying before 5 minutes have passed. I play DD and suddenly BBs are dying within 5 minutes, it's crazy. edit: Why can't Wargaming add a tutorial/how to play tab at the bottom next to social and statistics? Like put a bit more effort in to attempting to get players to improve.

It has been bad for a long time. The play style in a lot of games also reminds me of the early AI, but with unbelievable RNG. There is a rush attack down one side and incredible hits. Devs, fires and incapacitions at much higher than average rates (like over 50% for at least one or the other). It doesn't surprise me that teams collapse. If these are genuine players, there needs to be ranked pools for them to play each other. Even having lower level players in the same game just makes them cannon folder and puts them off playing.

Um... Battleships have range, so I don't mind them sitting as long as they are shooting and putting shot pressure on objective opponents. The absolute worst players are the ones who play selfishly. Cruisers who hide behind islands and won't support DDs playing the objective. DD players blocking off other DDs and thus taking away supportive shots. Battleships purposely pushing DDs out of their smoke. There are serious messed up players for sure.

Aaron, WOWL is a general microcosm of society in the United States. , Everyone is in it for themselves, nobody cares about others, jobs are done poorly and as players, we all are looking for that one player (employee) who does a great job and wants to work. If WOWL was my company I would have fried so many employees by now. I used to get so frustrated and care like you said but I just don't have it anymore. I can tell within the first 3 minutes of a game if it's going to be "one of those" with horrible teammates. So ...and this is horrible but I just leave the game, pick a different DD, and go into a different game. I don't care about my state and so on . F it !! it works great for me because I am sooooo done. love your channel, by the way, been subbed for years.

Are you saying you leave mid game and go AFK? Because that would be worse than a half-ass job.

The problem is we need will to rebuild back I have noticed more and more BB are sitting in the back line causing cruisers to stay back and not supporting the DD I'm not saying bring back the 1st will to rebuild but bring back the 1st nerf where 2 fire's didn't kill you but you could survive it but keep the zombie from happening to BB would push up more and cruisers would to high damage games would return and we wouldn't see the game play we see right now .But we need to pick one ether back line Betty's or bring back will to rebuild . because there will always be something we aren't going to like . but which is the lesser evil and great video

you commented as if you had seen my matches today. 🤣 Lyon drives away. I ask for support, he comes back, goes too far, and boom. worst thing, he saw the ships. and still sailed in. and I had a Maass teammate, omg. red Maass is spotted. my teammate launches his sonar and runs away. the enemy was 13km away and turning out. 🤣 Later the Maass smoked up himself and as a result losing spot on the red Maass(friendly z31 needed 1 more shot to kill the red Maass). then the sailed into a Mainz and the red Maass. 5 seconds later he was dead. no clue what goes on in the heads of these people. do they have fun to sail around like a headless chicken?

At least on the PCMR version, I can chirp people in chat when they play like bozos. I have also watched people go full back line into their spawn side then throw matches. I think people just dont use their brain haha

I get high bloodpressure only watching the clip. As DDmain with over 15k standard battles in DDs...this kind of gameplay get's to me. Maybe it is time to quit and move on? Then my inner guy says: No, learn to deal with this! Accept you cannot win all games😢 like some buddhistic meditation stuff😂 i wish i could win them, though!

No offense, but every player has the right to play the game wrong as much as he wants. I suck in this game, but at least I „try“ my best and improve my skills. But I am also fine with any beginner player who made me lose my game, because next round this player will be in the opposite team, that’s how it always was and will be. I get your point and I agree mostly, but I also think don’t tell ppl to play their game, they might wee it differently

Not when your actions effect others outcome. If you try in a team oriented fashion that’s fine but if you go out with zero intention of winning then no I don’t agree with that

I think a lot of people are laboring under mistaken assumptions - the biggest one is that this is a team game when it's not. Otherwise, the developers wouldn't have incentivized solo/selfish play so heavily. Think like a "free to play" player. How do you get most of the needed goodies (camo, boosters, crates, etc)? By completing the missions. With the exception of Bureau and Premium Supplies, how often do you see a mission which *requres* a win? In other words, for someone trying to stock their supplies, winning games is low-reward. * If you're grinding a Campaign mission to get 100 fires, you'll stick to high-explosive spamming, even when switching to AP might help your side more. * If you need 10 capture/defend flags, you really want to leave the cap circles open so you can farm Defend flags - and if one of your DD's goes in to capture the circle, you're actually hoping they get sent back to port quickly so you can get back to farming. * If you need a high number of secondary hits? Push in close with a secondary-build BB so you can get those guns firing. If you get sent home quickly, just load up another and spawn another match. Now, sure. this annoys people who want to actually act like a team and win the match. But that's not the behavior that Wargaming makes profitable. And, when you actually get a mission that requires you to win? You do that against AI. Remember, a LOT of people don't have hours to play or money to burn. They want to check the boxes as quickly as possible, to make the most of their limited time. So maybe they can only invest time in one or two matches each session where their only "goal" is to win a match. Professional gamers, such as youtube presenters, represent a statistically insignificant percentage of the player base. Expecting every one else to play to their standards, or support their goals, is simply arrogant. They'd do better to show just how good they are by working around the fact that many of the other players aren't interested in team play.

Few good points in there but also...it's legendary tier. Free to play players would have to excessively grind and then they would be losing massive amounts of credits trying to get their missions done? Doesn't make sense. Also the overwhelming majority of comments have been in support; that doesn't mean that is the majority in game however it's unlikely those attitudes differ that much. At the end of the day it's a game but as I mentioned "how you do anything is how you do everything" and that attitude should carry over. The game is based around objectives and you are on a team; while everyone may not treat it like the supwerbowl there should be some level of competence when your actions have an affect on others.

@@whereruaaron Don't know about excessive grinding. I'm pretty much free-to-play, and I have premiums at all tiers and a whole slew of legendary ships -- everything except carriers. I doubt I average more than an hour per day on games in all. But if you want to think about it sideways, consider this. If the game developers have deliberately set it up to reward individual/selfish play styles more than it does team work, then those potatoes are actually playing the game the way it is supposed to be played.

Battleships backline because players don't use their destroyers correctly. I don't know how many times I have tried to help the DD's and they wont spot so lately I have been backlining due to the destroyer play.

I mean I did everything to support them from the start and they still sat in the back for nearly the entire game...the reds had to deal with me without destroyer support and we still lost...it has everything to do with your play style and usually very little to do with your teammates; but yes it can happen that you are left out to dry by teammates

That’s a losing strategy. You aren’t carrying games in a back line BB so you are actively hurting your win rate by employing that flawed strategy.

Let me guess it’s probably PlayStation players sitting in the back of the map I swear I dare you to take a tally what type of console player performs poorly I honestly say PlayStation they’re coming into a high tier game with no camo popping consumables way too early and just doing what they was doing in this video
