Hi again, Sabrina! Thanks for the update on how life has changed over the last few months. I've heard prices had gone up a lot, so thanks for confirming that. I hear you when it comes to politicians: people here in the US are very divided politically, and sometimes you have to be very careful with whom you talk about politics. I think you said it best--and very poetically--"life only seems to be getting harder unless you have insane amounts of money." Very true about many places nowadays. Thanks for another great video!

Legitimate gripe(s). Housing is a huge problem in the US as well. The pandemic only accelerated price gouging.

As a Uruguayan who has recently moved to Argentina I'm not planning to buy any electronics here, prices are just crazy! Not that they are particularly sensible back in Uruguay but they're more affordable

@@sabrinahuyke Well, it really depends on the product category, but for instance an inverter air conditioner will cost you about 350usd in Uruguay as opposed to around 600,000 pesos in Argentina :( Generally, it's about 25 to 40% more expensive in here for consumer electronics. I suppose it has to do with the fact that generally this kind of products are imported. However, we are no strangers to exorbitant taxes when it comes to imports in Uruguay, but still they are a bit more affordable and you can always pay them in at least 12 installments without any interest rates

Thank you, Sabrina. Very powerful and informative analysis. I'm sad for Argentina. It's absolutely my favourite country and in two weeks I'll in Buenos Aires again. I am still considering moving to ... Mendoza, or Cordoba, or with your latest news, a city much, much less expensive than Baires. I bring dollars, but now even so, I don't know. I enjoy all your vids and look forward to every one. Cheers from Canada. BTW, it's crazy here too with all the new taxes on top of taxes because it's my fault that the climate is changing.

Sabrina. Sí, totalmente. The rent and buying of property (at least in big South American cities) it's fucking horrendous, and me being Chilean is not even as bad as say Brazil or Argentina but here prices are very inaccesible as well. I believe a lot of this has to do with Latin America having more professionals and educated people than ever before, and having the most GDP than any other point in history, more and more people get to college than ever before in Latam and it's evolving ridiculously fast, so landlords being landlords and stores being stores, seeing how GDP and medium salary grows, they increase prices.

After my two year mid range phone was stolen, I spent six months with a spare, waiting for an opportunity. In the end, I had to buy refurbished. I don't know if it was stolen or genuinely second hand, I only cared for price and condition. Could I buy a high end one? Yes, in 12 or 18 installments, which doesn't exist anymore. And even then it wouldn't be safe for me.
