As a returning person to Granblue Versus the little details of where DPs worked and where they didn't, why I always seemed to be putting my DPs in places that failed...man it drove me nuts.

So once again I've put together all the information I gathered and all the conclusions I came to over losing 1000s of games against players far better than me.

    Fantastic video and great topic!!! Once I know the opponent is using DP as a “undo button” for a mistake it’s over for them - this video will save lives!

    Low blockstrings beating DP mashing is something I never considered, in GBVS or other games, and now a lot of old situations make sense lol

    I personally don't like how safejumps/safejabs feel in this game, it makes pressure even more repetitive than it already is with the lack of options. But it's pretty much needed to balance meterless easy input DPs.

    Yeah, I think that's part of why they exist for sure. Otherwise you'd just lose your turn every hard knockdown and things would get weird with constant neutral resets. (Although honestly sometimes it's better to go back to neutral over the safejump depending on the scenario)

    Dps are not bad, using dps may be bad but having one is amazing because your opponent has to respect it

    I dont think Easy Input DPs suck, or just DPs in general, definetly not for people that dont have frame-data or defense down and definetly not for those that can react to cooldowns/specials or know the right times to use it so i disagree with the tittle there, but the video itself is very well put together, so gud stuff there, coming from some1 that mains a non DP character that is very weak to DP (Soriz) , it really paints the picture of how valuable they are in this game. In my opinion, Easy Input DP should not have invincibility instead of the cooldown/lower dmg nerfs it has, the game would be way more balanced imo, since DP is so strong for beginner-intermediate players, having it also have such a strong benefit from easy input you see them being used like that even by the strongest players i think is just wrong.

    Pretty much agree with you on all points, although I do think that a lot of the game is built around the idea of having DP available "instantly". Regardless, I really did make this video for people who just want to use DP to get out of every bad situation. Specific uses (against Soriz is a perfect one) and where it's used intentionally with a reaction or a hard read they're incredibly good tools. But like anything else, if you use it too much it starts to lose effectiveness.

    ​@@raidhyn I dont think the game would really break or even be worse off if EZ input DPs werent as prominent though, i think being able to react to cooldowns is an overlook from the devs, that shouldnt be a thing in any fighting game i believe, specially one where normal-> special are alot of character's bnb neutral game/pressure. I think its telling that most high tiers have a DP or are incredibly strong otherwise to compesate like Vas and Cag. Though this is all in the past now since they are rebuilding the game somewhat with Rising so yeah, again, i agree with ya mostly on the video, just the title i think is a bit off.
