I was really confused about that dragon too. It was so out of place and such a tiny part of the game that I just couldn't wrap my head around why it was in the game. They could have just cut it out and not lost anything at all, so why is it there? Was it literally just so they could show a couple cutaways of it in trailers?

I don't disagree with you, but I still had a good time with it. After watching a lot of Matt McMuscles I find a lot harder to be harsh on games when you know what hellish experiences they are to make.

Nice to hear a concise and balanced negative take on Oddysey, as well as current Nintendo as a whole. A lot of this stuff has been on my mind for ages.

the delivery and script was very good i had a good laugh, but i agree some kingdoms were empty and it is not the top 3d mario imho, though its sentimental value is very strong for many which i can easily understand

I think Mario Odyssey was Nintendo's attempt to make a game for everyone of all ages. For a very young kid just trying a game for the first time you have the real obvious easy moons to learn the controls. For a more seasoned player you can go for the more difficult ones. As a compromise boss fights are easier to allow the younger players the chance to learn and win. We need to keep in mind that Nintendo has family gaming in mind first. Kind of like the Sonic the Hedgehog movies. Critics rip it apart for being immature but are ignoring the fact that it was meant for kids first and had some throw ins for the millennial parents that played Sonic as well. Anyways in the future maybe the games will have more tailored difficulty levels but for what Mario Odyssey set out to do I think it was a great job. More fun imo than Mario 64

The level where you're in the race it's the worst level I played so far any otherwise great game the controls are the reason it's hard not because it's actually challenging which means that's a bad thing the developers should have thought that through.

play the game before you dunk on a bestseller because "oh it's repetitive" there are 830 unique moons in the game, dont tell me that Sunshine has more because that game has 120 shines Also, nitpicking is not a good look, because i can instantly say: "Oh, Mario Galaxy 2 sucks because of *x* galaxy", even though the rest of the game is amazing And about the movement issue, there are a ton of secret coin stashes that require that you do some complex jump to get to or some moon that can be done faster if you do some movement trick, the developers intended that. If you think the game is too easy, look Superstar Mode by Skellux, if that's how you wanted the game to be then no one would have fun or good times, as it takes days to speedrun hard games and it's really hard to have fun you can only talk shit about the game if you've actually experienced it and embraced it like finishing the main story and exploring the post-peace kingdoms, and it doesn't look like you did that. btw, the dragon's name is "The Lord Of Lightning". You didn't do research neither did you play the game, because if you did you would know that the game references that name multiple times. The rematch in Mushroom Kingdom is amazing too, as everything is slippery making it harder like you so like.

Yes, YES! JOIN ME IN THE DARKSIDE. All in all tho I kinda wanna play Galaxy and Odyssey just to have something of an informed opinion on the games but Odyssey just kinda isn't compelling once you see all there is in the game. Maybe I spoiled it for myself but if you can *spoil/ruin a platformer* then what was ever the appeal?

without looking it up, do you even know the dragon's name? probably not right? AND THAT'S ANOTHER PROBLEM. a dragon's name shouldn't be forgettable. think King Ghidora, King Koopa Bowser, Seif the Scaleless, Midir the Darkeater, Paarthurnax, Alduin, Shenron, etc
