Why did the Mario kart Wii devs think these were a good idea?

Yeah, I too prefer wii wheel controls. Your bad luck makes me laugh so much though, not because I want to make fun of you, but because your footage really captures the experience of trying these (its like a relief and "I know right!?" feel). Please don't ever feel forced to add extra editing video and audio effects, the raw footage like you currently do does convey the situations very well. The way you got it at the end really confirms my bias that the online guides about what is mandatory to get 3 stars are incorrect though. I wish someone actually did some research using dolphin and RAMwatch to check what the actual rating conditions are (and maybe make a freestyle TAS playing around the limits by getting the seemingly worst race and still get 3 stars! haha) I think the video title, or the thumbnail like last time should hint more at the quest to get 3 stars. I was unsure when clicking this but was happy that you are still going! Maybe eventually make a "road to 3 stars badge in MKWii playlist", since I don't think I have seen anyone do that yet. Or when you are finally done, a compilation of all the most unfair moments on the way too would be awesome (although, to be honest, the entire video is already such compilation haha). Fantastic job, I'm glad you are making these! Also, I don't mean to backsit but some things that helped me and that I don't see you do are: -Stand still drift to build mini-turbo when stopped on a low acceleration vehicle to start faster (although, this medium vehicle might be on the verge where its not all that worth it, and don't do it if you feel like its cheesing) -Drifting can accelerate you much faster to top speed than going straight -Spam D-pad press to roll and obtain items faster to protect from incoming shells (and hold at the back a protective item even when the coast is clear too, because green shells are just too sneaky) -Short drift left to move quickly to the right (and vice-versa) Ah and I almost forgot: yeah these 50cc cpus are suspiciously good at keeping up sometimes! Its like if the rank 2 keeps on rolling mushroom items or something... If one day you look for a good way to crush your ego though, make a custom rules VS race with cpus on hard and no items: they will bump you into bonking a wall, and then you can barely never catch up to the pack for the entire race! :D If this comment feels like I am telling you what to do by the way, I apologize, I just hope that you too get these ideas in general.
