Law's the one who makes his df broken. Ope Ope no mi is really notable for healing illnesses and immortality surgery but Law has enough power and skill to make it work for combat

I did not expect Mr. Hashimoto, an ultra super legend within the industry, to be part of this One Piece episode’s production staff let alone One Piece. He commonly took part in One Piece films as effects supervisor or director but very very rarely in episodes so I was shocked lol Shuu was my highlight of the episode, that crazy animator is all about insane camera work, amazing character acting and lots of crazy effects/smears

I didn’t like this episode that much. I loved the animation, but did it seriously have to waste the episode with 15 - 18 minutes of over exposition? OP’s pacing in the anime isn’t good but Jesus Christ that was ridiculous.

Bound-man’s little bursts of speed before his punch look SO GOOD! You can actually see him try to stabilize himself in such a clunky form, and it looks perfect. I see no cut-corners, no unnecessary cuts, this is some of the best animation I’ve ever seen, and for a weekly anime to do it?? Take my soul

Just for whatever who is interested in the people that made this sequence and other great scenes during the episode. I first mention the key animators from this sequence and then others from other noticiable cuts of the episode and after that other people that contributed to make this specific episode so good production wise. - All since Law moved the ship until Luffy appears was made by Msamai Mori. - All first Luffy sequence (until G4 transforamtion is completed) was Shu Sugita. - From now on and without counting the final bit where the tree land from the sky Luffy was animated by Takeshi Maenami Law by Isuta Meister and Kid by Tetsuro Nireki. - The explosion was handled by Takashi Hashimoto - Finally the quick animation with the trio falling from the sky and landing was made by Hiromi Ishigami. Other animators that made good animated sequences throught the episode were: - Sota Shigetsugu who did Ussopp and Zoro action scenes + the three Zou mosqueteers combined attack (except for the canon fire wich was done by Masahiro Kitazaki). - Sute did Bepo and the other two Law crew memebers action scene that end up with a nice explosion. - Denjiro cutting the ship was done by Akira Matsui who also handled the Nami attack with Zeus. - The rest of that section of the straw hats vs the smile users, Sanji and Robin attacks, the smile users throwing the bomb to the sunny, Franky and Luffy in that part were animated by Yoshikazu Tomita. - The scene with Luffy and Kid launching themselves to the enemy ships was done by Akiko Suguizono. - Shuichi Ito and Midori Matsuda (character designer for the Wano arc) did the animation supervision of the episode (make sure that the art looks good an on model with the oroginal designs). - Kohei Kureta was the director and storyboarder of the episode. - Hayate Tokita the animation producer of One Piece was who asembled this all star team list of animators from across the industry for the episode.

@@sundaysyndrome_I agree 1016 felt like it was all being set as a cliffhanger. Chapter 1000, 1010, and 1013 were all 10/10s for me. (Oda knew what he was doing with his numbers for Chapter 1010 being a 10/10). Chapter 1001 was an 11/10 for me though because of the panel with Luffy and the five legends: Rocks, Roger, Whitebeard, Oden, and Shanks. That panel was legendary, and I want to see how Toei is going to animate that panel.

I'll be honest, I never liked main protagonists in any anime I watched, most of my favorites from any other shows are secondary characters. But Luffy is the only main character that I adore. He is my favorite in the story and my favorite protagonist in any story I have ever watched or read.

Can you believe this quality of animation was in an episode and not a movie, props to all the hard working animators, voice actors, sfx team who worked on this fantastic scene

I think the main reason they went all out was to show how much they’ve improved since the last time these three teamed up (sabaody)

I hope this animation continues in the fight between super nova vs yonkos... imagine Kaido using a ragnarok or a joint attack with BM using a Hakai, the light effects will be insane so anyone watching will have an epileptic fit.

You can also see the bones of the butterfly girl, when Law hits her with bis counter shock for a short time, if you slow down and watch closely

I love that Luffy, Law, and Kid have evolved so much they're basically walking nuclear bombs

I love how Luffy just swings around the ship and lands in a random place. Then just randomly KO's a guy and keeps going.

The animation has improved so much this arc. I am praying it stays at This level of quality

@@RennX21 there’s a sequence like this almost every other episode. In fact, almost every episode has at least 1 Sakuga sequence. However, only a handful of Wano episodes look this good

The animation is incredible, but it really bugs me that you guys stopped the video seconds before that instrumental finished. Over the Top is great.

my god... this scenes probably the best animation the show has had yet and we're not even on the roof yet. (other than maybe some of the movies ofc but that's not really comparable)

The people animating one piece are insanely talented. They produce so many quality episodes in such a short amount of time.

I'm not even gonna lie. This is different, this hits different. It's crazy I'm still in thr early 2000s to late 90s part. It's crazy that in a couple months I'm gomma see episodes like this. I'm done watching one piece stuff for now online. See yall in about 11 months☠

One piece had the biggest animation glow up in anime it went from terrible animation to god tier

When I finally caught up on One Piece, this was the most recent episode. I wasn't even upset that I didn't have any more to watch - this scene was enough to last me to the next week. Wano animation has been SOOOO good.

The dislikes are from the remaining people that survived that attack.

You know its way too long when its been 9 months and it feels like it was 2 episode ago since nothing happened since then.

I have to say: I feel like lately I've been seeing people saying Luffy's lost his innocence and has become too wrapped up in battle to understand what he's really fighting for, but... come on. Look at how deranged Luffy's smile has become while he's fight. Its both adorable and scary. Truly amazing.

Luffy, law, and Kidd are like cousins that dont see each other often. But whenever they do they're super competitive. You can tell how much fun luffy is having with that big smile at the end.
