My main problem with this show is that Boba feels like an idiot. He sounds stupid. I am not bashing the actor, he is great, it's just that the character doesn't act like an old war veteran would. Boba is a quiet, calculating mandalorian. Not a walking sarcasm machine.

I think the problem is that Disney already made a character (Mando) that seemingly portrays the Boba we remember in the movies and comics. They're probably trying to replace Boba's identity, which isn't good. Although, the issue is that people expect Boba to act like he's not a retired bounty hunter. The Mandalorian was cool because we got to see the life of an active bounty hunter doing a series of tasks. Unless some other important character comes, we should expect to see the same Boba throughout the show, unfortunately.

I think they definitely should’ve made Boba Fett The Mandalorian. Nothing against The Mandalorian, he is great, but he feels identical to the old Boba Fett.

@@ryanhasproblems I'm pretty sure that was the original idea, but Disney said "no, Boba Fett is dead". So they made a new mandalorian character, and once they saw how successful it was, they greenlit the Boba Fett series. But making an identical show with a different character would have been stupid 🤷‍♂

@@ryanhasproblems I feel like the Mandalorian series should’ve been made more into the future. The shows awesome don’t get me wrong but just hear me out. What if they had replaced Din to Boba in that show then later on in the ending of the series they could somehow introduce young Din then later on he becomes the Mandalorian we all know and love. It’s a bit of a stretch but having two identical bounty hunters in the same show just doesn’t sit right with me if that makes sense.

One thing in this episode gave me hope: Fennec saying that they’re going to war. It’s unlikely, but I hope this is a turning point. An all out war, with trickery, betrayals, violence, sacrifices and Boba having to give it all he has got to prove and secure his position as the boss. Please Disney, do not forget the „Wars“- part of Star Wars.

Watching this show so far I'm thiking to myself, man, if someone told me years ago that we were getting a live action Boba Fett show my mind would have went wild with possibilities. Jetpack, rockets, flamethrower, Slave-1. Instead we get bathrobes and Cyberpunk Power Rangers on 15 mph space mopeds.

Please PLEASE I hope Episode 4 takes a turn for the better. In a couple hours, fingers crossed, breathing on copium, let's goooooooooooooo Update and Spoilers: Watched it, hated the part where Boba entered the Tiktoker Tattoine Bar. Buuuuuuuuuut, I enjoyed the small action with Fennec, and the negotiation scene was pretty OK. But then I find myself disappointed when I found out that it's a Filler Episode. But my favourite part, was the fact that the Tiktoker Tattoine Crew Boba hired had 0 screentime.

It's not that bad, the sequels fuck up lore of all previous movies with their bullshit excuses for pretty visuals like the Holdo Manouver which makes every space battle ever completely pointless or like when Super Palps shot lightning into the sky and destroyed like 50 ships which makes you question why he just didn't do that when The Death Star II was being attacked while also making Anakin's sacrifice completely pointless since daddy Palps is back. BOBF mistreats Boba Fett as a character, while still being insulting and disrespectful towards the quiet, mysterious badass we know from EU and the OT, it at least keeps most of the universal rules and lore intact or at least as of episode 3.

I love Termaru Morrison (partly cause of his accent) but the directors for the show are brain dead and the setting is just so not Tatooine. The bar is all nice and decorated with plenty of light to make it seem like nothing seedy is going on, the random ass aliens at the bars and betting tables are wearing suits. When has Star wars ever had a need for an alien in a suit? Every character is mellow and a grungier bar scene would just add to a more tense atmosphere. The "chaos" ridden streets are clean and no one is loitering, except for the biker gang, for convenience. The speeder mopeds were painful to watch and I reckon I could jog and keep up with them. The fact that Boba never took his helmet off showed us how close he was with Jango. We should have seen a reason by now as to why he's decides to leave that massive part of his life behind in the flashbacks. I don't mind Fennec but I don't really see a connection between her and Boba apart from him saving her. They should have some secluded scenes with them talking abut the more serious matters and this is when Boba should take his helmet off. She should have some more badass scenes too than just doing a parkour course. Krrsantan should have had a better intro and had more to do with the guards which would have been cool. The director only placed that fight there in the middle of the flashback to try and create suspense but it ruined two scenes in one go. The flash back could have been improved but I kinda liked the side story that was going on. The hutt scene was awful only redeemed (for me) by the rancor and I do want to see more of it but the director is making Boba too soft. He needs to just shoot a goon every once in a while to remind us that he is not one to mess about. I want this show to be good but if it isn't oh well I gues, Disney don't really care and thats just the end of it. He was based off the man with no name and his name was in effect was his apperence, or lack of. I know things had changed for him but the Director should have kept that at least. Change the director to someone who understands the character not someone who did an online filmmaking course.

Watching a Vorpal video but at the cost having the Boba show spoiled is a sacrifice I am willing to take. A soul for a soul.

It really is a shame where they've taken this character. Wasted potential.

So does Boba Fett Just like....walk into town every time ? just plods miles across a two Sun Desert Planet ...and then back again ? No wonder he sleeps in a Bacta tank... his feet must be killing him.

People give Favreau way too much credit. Like the guy hasn’t written a good movie since the first Iron Man. Don’t get me wrong, I think him and Filoni care about the franchise more than any other chimp at Lucasfilm, but everything they’ve made so far has been extremely mediocre in my opinion. The only time I’m actually having fun is when a character we know from something else shows up. This goes for Rebels, Mando, and Bad Batch too. Without reoccurring characters from Clone Wars and some of the movies, they all fall flat on their face

Not seeing many pointing this out, but the reason the show is so insatiably slow and unrealistic is because it’s being handled by these Woke weirdos. - The bike colours resemble LGBT 🏳️‍🌈 - The biker lady of course has dyed hair. - They also have prosthetics. - Skin as smooth as butter. - Pretty faces Yet they are supposed to be roughed up bikers who are stealing from people who are struggling to financially support themselves. Woke is a weird depiction of the world where everyone and everything is equal which is why this doesn’t suit Boba Fett, because he is a fucking bounty hunter.

Agree with every word! Boba Fett from one of the coolest original characters, from the MOST FEARD BOUNTY HUNTER OF THE GALAXY went to Beta Fat Mother Tereza. From a relentless, cold, silent and deadly badass to a smiling, chit-chating, rancor petting piece of s**t loser. Disney disaster. This is not the actors fault. Temuera Morrison is perfect as jango back in 2002 Cold, mysterious killer. I’m so sad for this show…. :( It had the potencial but they totally missed the point.

I don't understand how you see Boba falling into the Sarlaac pit in the most cartoonish way possible, and go on to say he was badass as hell. He only has cool one-liners and a menacing look cause of the armor. Hell, even this Boba that we're seeing now has lightyears more character than what there is in the OT. If we had a show about Boba not talking and only giving one-liners it would be so damn dry and unentertaining. Not saying that this show is entertaining as it is, but either way, it adds a lot more depth to Boba's character than we got in the OT. Come to think of it, this show adds to the version of Boba that we've already seen in canon. Clone Wars Boba had honor, feelings, everything that the Boba in this show has now, minus the crybaby aspect of his character that he had back in TCW. I rly liked this episode, but the show still needs a lot more work. This is gonna go down as one of the worst Star Wars Disney+ shows I've seen yet (If it continues on its current trajectory), but I just don't understand why people would prefer a Boba that has little to no character behind the mask over a Boba that has some sort of character depth.

Bro, I was doing my cleaning job, I was working solo, in a bad mood, and I just vent out loud more than half the cleaning job about this episode and the series as a whole so far. Again, I was in a pissed off mood to begin with but this episode was what broke the camels back that night. So this video makes me feel less weird about fuming that night. Glad to see I wasn’t the only one who had issue with this episode.

Rodriguez is set to direct one more episode, and the other three are gonna be split up between Bryce Dallas Howard (directed Ch 4 and 11 of Mando), Kevin Tancharoen (directed a bunch of Agents of Shield, a few DC show episodes), and Filoni himself

The chase scene was really something else, even my dad, who liked the show up to this point, was laughing his ass of at the fact that their hair wasn’t even blowing

It's such a shame that they Disneyfied Boba, this show had so much potential, we could have had John Wick but in Star Wars or at least something like Mando, or mix of the two, but instead we get Boba's Lighthearted Family-Friendly Adventures Episode 3 : Meeting the Power Ranger Scooter Gang. I legitemetly thought we are gonna get an epic scene where Boba just plows his way trough the speeder gang from the EP 2 flashbacks after finding the Tuskens and whatever remains of their campsite. Well, I'll keep watching up until at least EP 6 and hope that it will improve eventually, mostly because I love Temuera Morrison and I want to see more of him (hopefully kicking ass). I also hope to see Bossk make an appearence.

They've got to steal water to clean the sand off of their Back to the Future Space Vespas

I got let down so hard during that scene where we first meet the gang. Boba walks up in his calm, yet still very threatening manner. You can hear the girl shitting enough bricks to build a city when he takes one step towards her. That’s my favorite part of the episode by far. No matter how hard he tries, Boba’s reputation is still that of fear and power. He worked with Darth Vader. He easily captured a legendary rebellion general. And now, he’s escaped the stomach of the deadliest beast on Tatooine. All of that is going through the gang’s mind I’m that moment. Episode was still kinda trash tho

I liked the cliffhanger at the end of the episode but I’m also trying to keep my expectations low. This has been a terrible character treatment of boba for a number of reasons, some being he talks too much, he was more ruthless as a kid in the CW, he can’t do anything himself, he’s a pushover, and he’s way too trusting.

Words cannot describe how awful this episode was in my opinion. If you liked it, great! I want to gauge my eyes out at the whole tiktokers of tatooine part. It felt so intense to start, and then we saw them… tiktokers of tatooine describes it perfectly. And boba just takes them in. I was literally punching air at how AWFUL this was. I’m crying inside of the wasted potential. THE ONLY GOOD PART was the jump scare of the Wookiee. It looked intimidating and whatnot and I was like YES! BOBAS ABOUT TO GET BEAT UP!!…… NOPE!! I was excited at the jump scare but then it got horrible. I agree with ur complaints about this scene. And the weapons used and whatnot were absolutely stupid. The Wookiee constantly looked dumb when he was surrounded by teenagers. Like this Wookiee is a warrior that could a killed all of them… WHY DIDNT HE! That woulda been way cooler IMO. And I garuntee you we like never see the Wookiee again cuz boba let him go. Now Disney can make toys and a boat load of money off this stupid Wookie. And I agree with the dumb speeder bike “chase” you can’t even call it a chase. So incredibly stupid. The bright colored bikes didn’t even feel like Star Wars. I was crying at how slow and bad this was. My dead grandma could catch the goon faster than those bikes could. Ah yees I've been waiting for this.

VORPAL...Remember when I said how I am not as critical and how I hoped that the show would be enough to satisfy all of us? Yeah forget that. That episode didn't have one redeemable quality. Anything that could be pointed at would have something else to dumb it down with (ex. the rancor, but it came as a gift from the slugs that tried to kill you like the night BEFORE). Anyways, we are half way in, four more episodes to go and it isn't getting better, in fact-worse. Rodriguez has one more episode, which means we are going to have another either subpar, or the bottom bottom of TLJ level episode. I really hope it at least picks itself up for the finale, at the very least make Boba more compelling, but current "data" suggests otherwise. It really seems like Favrew was told that Boba was dead, so he made Din a spiritual successor to Boba Fett, and when Disney wanted the sweet sweet nostalgia money they cashed in, not knowing what to do with him. We were ought to be getting a badass bounty hunter, instead were told we are going to get a godfather figure, but so far we are getting an old incapable softie whose balls fell off when he got himself out of the sarlaac pit. At the end of the day the only thing left for us is two things, either stop watching or hope that it will not dig itself deeper. Nothing more than that, or we are going to be left severely disappointed.

episode 2 was pretty decent, but three killed any momentum the show might have picked up. Sad the sand people died, mad they did it off screen

Thank you, like how is this the same boba that as a kid infiltrated the republic recruiting programed and almost killed MACE WINDU twice, was smart enough to instantly track down Han and arrive to where he was heading before him. Like everything from legends and Canon up to this point can be thrown out the window cause I can't connect any of those dots to this boba and even the boba who was in the mandalorian who almost killed another mandalorian just cause his ego wouldn't allow him to back down. This boba would just apologize then try to come to some terms of arrangements.

I watch this show but i dont accept that "that" is bobba fett, for me he is a ruthless bounty hunter from ot, and if someone asked me "Who is your favourite bounty hunter" I will say bobba considering only his ot character.

I agree with you but for me I really liked the 2nd episode best out of the 3 but I feel like they are purposely trying to make him seem weak since he is still in the process of healing during all of this but I hope the more he is in the bacta tank the more character development we may actually get for once

I agree with you but I think people need to realize that Boba is older, injured, and retired. He's not a Jedi where the force is still strong like it always was. He wont be the guy fighting Han and Luke and he won't be the Mandalorian

Was waiting for your review on this one, as always it was well done and I agree with you on almost everything. At this point the writers have made it very clear they don’t understand Boba Fett at all, not even a fucking little bit, and that even their understanding of the Star Wars universe is fragile at best. I had some hope after the second episode but this episode blew it up like an anti-tank missile. I really do hope this show gets better and maybe we get writers/directors that understand what to do and who the characters are but I’m doubting that at this point, and I think this may just be another case of Disney ruining shit from the OT.
