Really? Guess you've been lucky lol. Though to be fair, I probably wouldn't know about it either unless somebody had told me more than once, to go to 50-50 to look for my dimorph when it got lost or things like that. But normally, if you lose your Dino, then maybe you find your Dino later, why would you think to check the map and notice what coordinates you found it at?

Wow you are lucky Soap! We've experienced different iterations of the 50/50 glitch in ASA.

I had this happen on the island and I have minimal QOL mods on my server. I built in the trees right there at 50,50 and would spawn in to piles of ocean and cave critters along the cliff. Even without building mods, I found random structure pieces in the air, not to this extent, but they were still there.

I actually had that happen on one of my other servers, an Island server I loaded up to check if it also had this issue. The structures on that server were fine, but when I went to 50/50 a big pile of sea creatures fell out of the sky… And shortly after, a big pile of cave creatures.

@@kellbell515_ it really is. The good news is that this video has apparently brought it to their attention, and I've heard from a Wildcard employee that they weren't aware it had gotten so bad, but this has definitely made them start looking into this.

Single player person here. I haven't had this happen on scorched yet, (in Asa) but this certainly happens on the island. I had a whole pile of structures, some creatures I killed off in breeding, and even my entire taming raft. The raft fixed itself when leaving render and returning, but the rest I had to clean up. (also my player's animated underpants appear at 50 50 every session)

Welp now I'm scared to build anything

I've never had any version of this bug in single player, only ever on servers. So playing in SP should be safe. And doesn't seem like anyone else has had it this bad? If you're playing on a server, might just be something to keep an eye on. Like if things are missing, go check 50/50. And make sure to pull back ups regularly. That was really my mistake, I wish I could restore to a back up from before this started happening.

Not even the godly jerboa escaped the almighty singularity...

Nope. Glad I managed to save the little guy though lol.

First game: Ark: Glitching Evolved. Second game: Ark: Glitching Ascended.

From what I have read, the game fails to load everything in the right place and when it can't figure out where to put things it automatically places things to a default spot which happens to be 50/50 in Arks' case. This includes structures, tames (even cryoed ones) and wild creatures. I have also read it is a problem with Unreal itself and that other games get this teleported bug too but I can't confirm that as I haven't found articles/posts writing about it other than Ark.

Lol this also happened to us I completely forgot about it. on our Community build on Scorched we had an entire town and 18 people lived there and boom one day at 50/50 there was a bunch of stuff crazy 😬

In ASE Official PVE Extinction, at coordinates 50, 50 I suffered from loss of structures and it always reported me as mesh, even when something was placed above the floor. I want to clarify that this coordinate is impossible to mesh, but the game took it as mesh.

Hmm, that's weird. But it confirms what I've been saying, it's an ASE mod that has been around since the beginning, and it's not caused by mods (since it also happened on Official).

@@SongbirdGaming What I am telling you happened on the server that I played on ASE, server NA-PVE-XboxOfficial-Extinction1025 My base was located at coordinates 50, 50, and all this happened in a big update that occurred at the beginning of the year 2021, from that moment until the closure of the servers, I could no longer build anything there. Something similar also happened to me in NA-PVE-XboxOfficial-GenTwo1534, I don't remember the coordinates, but I was on the central bridge on the Eden side (Approximate coordinates 47, 70), the creatures that I left on the bridge, with or without a foundation, died. This error appears, also after an update a year before the closure of the official servers.

@@mccbaar omg that's awful, especially with the creatures dying. It's interesting though, on Gen 2 I discovered accidentally that there was an invisible cloud of acid burn in the space biome at exactly 50-50, really high up above the bridges. I wondered if it might be some kind of a "fix" for the bug, in that any creatures (such as wilds) who were teleported there would just be killed very quickly. So there wouldn't end up being a big pile of stray creatures hanging in space, which would've looked really obvious. The cloud of acid burn didn't have anything visual that would let you know that it was there. I flew through it on a wyvern and died, and that's how I found it. And then had to ask an admin on the server (unofficial) to go rescue my wyvern since I couldn't reach it and it was taking damage but had enough health that it didn't die right away. I mentioned this theory to some modder friends when we were discussing the 50-50 bug, and they weren't sure that it was intentional though, they said that it was possible that somehow the acid burn effect also got accidentally teleported to 50-50. Who knows.

If stuff disappears or wont let u interact, it can often be because ur mods or some structures r laid in a way that cause them to 'collide'in a way that triggers the antimesh. Try removing some custom mods. I know that hammock isnt vanilla which might be why u couldnt get out of it.

I discovered in the comments that a friend tried to prank me with a narcotic trap, apparently that interacted in an unexpected way with the hammock bed. Also I didn't notice he put handcuffs on me. 😆🙄 Shows how much PVP I play... But I don't see how the anti mesh would affect it, we have terrain clipping enabled, and undermesh checking and killing turned off.

Its a replication issue. Same issue as ASE at blacksands on The Island (50/50). Sometimes, you can get the issue from building too far on a saddle and half your build will transport to blacksands while your Quetz is standing at your base. They created their own replication and it was very poorly done. ASA was very poorly done in general.

Wish I could say I'm shocked Song!

We had the same issue on The Island. Got so bad that I just cancelled my Nitrado server rental. Was bad enough when random bits and bobs (no pun intended) would disappear and end up there, but then it become tames as well.. and THEN it would empty out the entire cave's worth of bats, spiders, etc and bundle that all together. Wasnt just land animals.. had sharks and basi's getting sucked up there. Took hours and patience to resolve because most times when I tried to admin over there.. the server would lag and crash. Last straw was when PLAYERS would log off and end up in the mess at 50/50. Since hosting my own servers for The Island, Scorched, and now The Center, we have no longer had the issue (Thanks @Nooblets for the wonderful tutorial). Its a really frustrating thing that should NOT be there if WC actually did what they claimed in their financial report of building this game's code "from the ground up". The weird thing is it seems to happen to some people and not others. And it seems fairly random. I've had comments from people who had it happen on console, in single player. I transferred a copy of that server to another server, and started it up... basically the same issue, except it was different stuff at 50/50. Seems like once that bug or corrupt file happens, it keeps happening and gets worse. Now I'm just trying to salvage the player save files and dino backups from Super Cryo Storage, so I can at least move those to a new server.

I went straight to 50/50 and there was my toon hangin there... well.. kinda.. it was just the pants, but as my legs moving back and forth, the pants legs in the duplicate would do the same thing... truly unnerving.

You can't just blame mods in general, like they're some kind of bogeyman. The game is broken and barely playable and crashes constantly, but somehow this is "the modder's" fault. Ok which one?

I think they did exactly what I feared: recycling the old script, copy-pasting it. This is the only answer. I was ok with a remaster, it was the opportunity to fix the old broken script. But... no. The 50/50 bug evolved xD now even structures teleport? Is this the evolution? The bugs become more powerful and weird? They never fixed it, so I wonder if they're going to do it finally

This has been a known Ark bug for like 8 years... they don't get to use the modders as a scapegoat whenever they don't want to fix their crap, while also depending on the free content the modders make, to keep their game afloat.

@@CobraCheata yeah. I wish they actually did what they said they were going to do with ASA. Rebuild all the code from the ground up, without the bugs, in the new and better engine. Maybe they did rebuild all the code... but someone took shortcuts and copied over chunks of the old code, and they ended up copying over the old bugs. And in some cases somehow making them worse.

@@SongbirdGaming a few structures but they wherent gone most where dublicated... only a few Vaults,... my mate wasnt happy when he saw all his vaults are gone but the stuff was still there in the little bags, after i collected the vaults at 50/50 XD.... but it happend to alot of animals,..BUT ONLY dinos that we had in a cryopod/fridge

Yeah it seems like it was more widespread than anyone knew, most people seem to have thought it was just them or something.

This happened to me and my friends. Well on the island I logged on confused on where my ENTIRE base went… well it was floating over the redwoods with micro raptors claiming it as their base. I’m on console I had to get my friend on pc to get close to it because you know they don’t care about console players. Don’t get me started on trying to play the centre on console

Ugh that sucks! Just FYI, though about consoles, a lot of that kind of thing isn’t really their fault. Sony and Microsoft have a lot of restrictions on games they will allow on their platforms. And how stable they need to be. For mods too. Nobody cares on Steam. Steam has no certification process. They don’t require any testing before something goes live. They just trust that you’ll read the reviews. Steam’s the wild wild west. Consoles are meant to be easy, plug and play, no technical knowledge needed, no complex messing around with settings and ini and stuff like that. But yeah, I’m sure it can feel limiting at times.

Ive been at 50/50 for the past hour picking up crap and dinos that went poof i play solo on the island (until i beat the bosses)

I figure if it's a game glitch and not intended, then using "cheats" to fix it should be fair game! If you are in single player you can open the command console (tab on PC) and type "fly" to fly and then "walk" to stop flying.

@@user-gh6gy6gz8t lol glad it can be useful. Btw if you do need to use a cheat sometime, here's another tip! Using "cheat fly" and "cheat walk" isn't full godmode, so it won't unlock your engrams. It just lets you fly, then cancels the fly ability. And if you do need to use godmode at some time to fix something, you can undo all the engrams being unlocked by getting out of GCM and then relogging or respawning.

I have seen a bug with disappearing structures many times before and it was caused by render. If i went out of render and back everything appeared again. I have played over 1000 hours in ASA and havent seen structures and other things appearing in the middle of the map. Dinos appearing on 50/50 isnt that common but known to happen but never saw structures do that. Maybe bugged mod or mod conflict?

Nope, not just a visual bug, the other players on the map are experiencing it too. Also not a mod, I tried loading it up without any mods at all and it was still happening.

😱I cannot even get my server to run for longer than 5 minutes. Maybe it is a blessing in disguise, if rage if I had to do this over and over! I’m sorry you’re dealing with this!!

Ugh that's so frustrating! Put in a ticket with Nitrado and keep bugging them until it's fixed... remember "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" sometimes you gotta be a squeaky wheel! If it's been more than a couple of days, ask if they can extend your account for the number of days you have not been able to use your server. They don't advertise this, but usually they will do it.

It did happened with me in the island, but not in this lvl your showing.

That's okay. On the server I am playing for the Center, it had one of those auto restarts when it came back up I could access my inventory. It said I was a member of my tribe but I couldn't access my items. What's worse I can''t get out. My brother is in my tribe and he can't get in or do damage because it said I was off line and off line protection is on. We logged off and logged back on and that didn't help. The server owner suggested we try leaving the tribe and seeing if that fixes it. I might try to kill myself first, otherwise I assume an admin will need to help me get all of my stuff back :(

I was able to get my tribe back by leaving it 😂 very strange

I had a similar problem with Oasisaur. His shell teleports to 50-50, but his head stays in its original place. Approaching to the 50-50 coordinates fixed it back. But this bug should have been fixed by now. Your bug with the structures is worse. I prefer not to use any mods because it can bring more problems to Ark.

No, I've been talking to someone at Wildcard who saw the video. They know it's an Ark bug. If the mods were causing a lot of lag they might make it worse, but my modlist is actually pretty restrained, I know my mods and these are all pretty safe ones from reputable modders, or very tiny ones that just give a small QOL tweak. If I'm testing big mods from an unfamiliar modder I do that in single player, not on my community server. What likely made it a worse is that me most of the other ppl playing on this server really love to build. So we had a decent amount of big builds, and that can definitely cause lag. It still shouldn't have been this bad though, as it was only 5 or 6 people doing decent size builds. And a train track halfway around the map.

Ark has the most crappy bugs .

Some of them are just funny, like the old rag doll physics, but this one is crazy annoying.

This has been happening VERY frequently with raft and platform saddle structures for me (with and without mods), but I can't believe its happening with normal structures too.. I only play SP and Non-Dedicated server, so could this be an Official/Unofficial server issue? Hopefully they get it fixed

I've seen a bug similar to this happen on my Solo game. I log in and half my structures are missing. However; if I wait or go out render area and come back, they eventually apear back in their spots. I didn't see other people running around in your area, maybe try to go out render distance and return? Can't hurt to try if haven't already.

Unfortunately this wasn't a visual bug, it's on a server and other people were the first to notice and tell me. We've all tried relogging, restarting the game, restarting the server, rolling back the server, everything we can think of. Unfortunately this bug has corrupted the save.

@@KaraKobold I wanted to do that, and was getting a new Center server ready, while also working on this video and trying to salvage the server, but unfortunately before the new server was ready this save got so corrupted that it wouldn't even boot up anymore. Thankfully at least some people got their characters and dinos uploaded first, but sadly one person did not. So I'm going to use admin commands to replace everything for him.

@@SongbirdGaming hmmm i have a feeling its one of your mods, that's causing it. the server i'm on, is only using crafting skill potion, solo farm mod, Pelayori's Cryo Storage , Alfa Oceanic Platforms, Dwarven Builders Mod, RR-MedievalRoleplayDeco! and thus far wed haven't had a single issue like that.

It happened to me twice on single player, tho restarting fixed it. Maybe a server restart could have fixed it in your case?

😢 It's really making me sad too. I still want it to work. I want to enjoy this game. But honestly ASA and it's bugs and crashes is what broke my several years long addiction to Ark. For years I never wanted to play anything else. Now I keep having to take breaks, for my sanity.

Thanks so much! I haven't found a way of preventing it, but I may have found a way to salvage at least people's characters and dinos. I'm working on a little video on that. The save has gotten more and more unstable and is now so corrupted it won't even launch, so salvaging some of the data is the best I can try to do. Nitrado is working on it, and actually this has started some good conversations and brought awareness to the issue, I'm actually in communication now with a Wildcard employee who wants a copy of the save to study and figure out why this was happening and how to fix this bug. They had no idea it had gotten this bad.

Maybe not the greatest commercial for your server. LOL You really can't blame WC unless this happens on an unmodded server. There was a bug (now fixed) in M+ that teleported ME and the mantis I was riding to that 50-50 sky box - when i used the tek elevator. Hmmm. Wonder if this is one reason why our server switched over from QOL+ to M+...?

Versions of this bug go back 8 years in ASE. So this is a WC bug, not a mod bug. And in the comments here others are reporting similar things. Someone on Twitter was telling me it happened to them, on PS5 single player. If the game is so unstable that this kind of thing can randomly happen from using mods, then Wildcard should've fixed their freaking game before they opened it up for mods to be used at all. As it is they're alienating the modding community by breaking all the mods every few weeks.

And as for advertising my server... I'm hoping people will see and appreciate that in spite of the bug I'm doing my best to save people's dinos and stuff... I'm not just deleting everything, which would have been easier. Because I respect my players' time, that they spent getting resources, and taming and breeding creatures. I will always do my darndest to recover whatever I can, when people get arked. Because Ark... will always Ark lol. So I can't guarantee we won't have bugs, but I can at least guarantee that there will be caring, helpful admins who respect your time.

Read the rest of the comments. It's definitely happened in vanilla. Versions of this bug have been in ASE for 8 years. It's definitely an Ark bug. I'm in communication with a Wildcard employee about this, after they saw the video. They know it's an Ark bug.

I think your saying this to save face but hey I could be wrong, Never seen this bug in vanilla and I played ASE day 1, Never heard of it happening without mods being in play. Now with mods, like QOL ones and building yeah, I have heard about and seen this. and before you give me some pertinacious remark "Well they should fix their game so mods don't do this" No dev can account for how players changing coding with their mods, no matter how well designed the game is, you use mods, there is a high chance it will cause unforeseen problems

Believe what you want, I don't care. But they didn't know the bug had gotten this bad. They knew about the occasional dinos, not about structures disappearing from bases and reappearing at 50/50. Seeing this video after someone posted it in a discord he's in, made looking into and fixing this particular bug, a higher priority. So I started chatting with him there, and he asked me to send him the save file so he can investigate.

OK, LISTEN. No offense, Ark is far from perfect, HOWEVER, you DO NOT get to complain about bugs when running mods. Which you are and honestly should have been in the video description. "The WORST Ark bug" is click bait because the bug isnt Ark, its a mod problem. I have NEVER in all my hours running a clean server been stuck in a bed. Plus, no hammocks in ark. Cmon. Even with mods being easy access now from within the game, they are still mods and still made by a player. Never fully trust any mod. Please dont be that kind of channel.

I had this happen on the island with minimal QOL mods, none that included building QOL though. I had random piles of wild creatures on the cliff under my tree platform base at 50,50 like sharks and all sorts of cave critters just in a massive pile. I use base structures and still had a few of them disappear and reappear at 50,50 in the air like this.

That isn't the bug the video is about. Did you watch more than 30 seconds? I started filming from that point, because I thought it was kinda funny, and so that I could show all the disappeared structures starting at my base. And, as stated, this is a worse version of a bug that's been in ASE since the very beginning. And if you'd read any of the other comments, you'd see it's happened to others too. Regardless of mods or no mods.

And I'd trust any modder way more than I trust WC. All of the ones I've talked to actually care about their mod and people using it, and fix things as quick as possible when there's a problem. Wildcard is the one breaking all the mods with every major patch they release, and treating the modders with such disrespect in spite of the fact that they depend on modders to add content for free which keeps their game afloat.

Your comment is seriously all around dumb, people complaining is the reason things get fixed, you're mindset is " well its broken, just leave it broken." Also the 50 50 black hole is on official servers that are not modded you have no idea what you're talking about at all. Imagine trying to be big and loud with your caps bs and be wrongbon everything you say 😂

@@SongbirdGaming Iam a meticulous person, I also have a small channel and have uploaded hundreds of Ark videos. I clicked your video BECAUSE of the title. Had it mentioned it was modded i wouldnt have clicked it. And floating structures are nothing new. But between your thumbnail and title, its clickbaity.
