The WORLD'S HIGHEST Natural PYRAMID Mountain is in... COLOMBIA??? Cerro Tusa

Welcome to Abroad With Ben travel and lifestyle videos! In this video, I climb the world's highest natural pyramid-shaped mountain (called Cerro Tusa) - and spoiler alert - if you're watching this, I survived to tell the story!
Cerro Tusa is located about a 1.5-hour drive southwest of Medellin city, Colombia, and wow is it impressive! The climb to the top was definitely the most challenging one I've done so far in my life, but when you arrive at the peak, you're rewarded with some of the best views you'll ever see! They're incredible, I promise!
If you're interested in doing this tour, we traveled with a company called Medellin Bungee and you can get in touch with them here:
Facebook: / medellinbungee
Instagram: / medellinbungee
(Tours are mostly in Spanish but they have some English-speaking tour guides)
Thank you to Medellin Bungee for giving me permission to use photos from the day in the closing section of this video.
SAFETY WARNING:
Please do not attempt to climb Cerro Tusa without an experienced tour guide as it is potentially dangerous. When you travel as part of a tour group, you are covered with insurance for emergencies in case of injury etc. so don't do it alone. There's also the risk of getting lost, so I repeat, please do not attempt this tour without an experienced guide.
When you travel to Cerro Tusa, the Medellin Bungee tour company recommends that you bring the following:
* A small amount of cash in case you need to make any purchases in Venecia town before beginning the hike
* Clothing and shoes suitable for climbing (including a cap), plus a change of clothes for afterward.
* Sunblock and insect repellent
* At least 3 liters of water (yes, you'll need that much!)
* A packed lunch (as this is NOT included in the tour), plus energy snacks such as fruits etc.
* Gloves suitable for climbing. (I didn't need them climbing up the mountain but definitely needed them coming back down!)
* Don't forget your camera, of course!
If you book with the same tour company, they will provide you with extra travel information before the tour.

    Hi! Thank you so much for the comment, I hope you liked the video. I don't remember all the stories about Cerro Tusa but the tour guide told us a few of the legend stories from the indigenous people of that region which were fascinating... I wish I could remember the details of the stories... but I highly recommend doing the Cerro Tusa tour, it was amazing even though I suffered a lot because I was unfit hahaha.
