The World's First Bicycle-Riding Robot | Primer v2 Robot

Ғылым және технология

The PRIMER-V2 robot is a bipedal robot modified to ride a bicycle. Developed by Dr. Guero, a Spanish roboticist, it consists of a KHR3HV bipedal robot, a small bicycle, and a custom controller.
The robot pedals with variable speed using its feet. Steering, akin to a normal bike, is performed by its hands and is remotely controlled by a human. Stability relies on the inertial centrifugal effect of the front wheel and a gyro aided by a PID controller for straight-line driving.
Capable of speeds up to 10 km/h, the robot navigates obstacles, makes turns, and is adaptable for various applications like search and rescue, delivery, and entertainment.
The PRIMER-V2 robot's development marks a significant progress in robotics, demonstrating its capacity for complex tasks beyond walking or running. Its bicycling capability opens up possibilities in delivery, search and rescue, and entertainment.
