Now a LCD version is a few hundred with a computer inside. The first Motorola cell phone was over 5 thousand. Now a cell phone paired with a super computer, in most cases, a thousand or less. Computer? In 1999, you could get one in NYC at the wiz for $2500. They were enormous towers with crts.

10:15 dont think so. on a standard track, there is no way to change tracks with a single track configuration. You need completely different, newly constructed switches for this system. So if advantage is small frequency and flexibility of wagons offered, there has to be a way to store them and to select from them - so you need switches. For autonomous drive, this system has the same major problem as a traditional two-track configuration (without the need for self stabilizing): As those tracks are NOT separated from surroundings where people move.

The main drawback of solar PV is the water pollution involved in the manufacture off PVs, the loss of wildlife habitat, the fickle nature of solar energy and disposal of old panels. A better solution: Molten Salt Reactors. More energy for the amount of resources used. Power when it is needed. High fees charged to industries that pollute, deplete resources or destroy wildlife habitat would cause the market to find the best solutions automatically. Sharing fee proceeds equally will make the policy fair.
