    @@acurarl9929 Doesn't make much sense because the resonance of using a 2 stroke exhausts stuffs the exhaust charge back into the cylinder fixing the open port problem. When combined with a rotary valve, proper cylinder ports, a 2 stroke can stuff more charge than it can naturally draw in as a sort of forced induction. You can make incredible amounts of power in relation to engine cc.

    In 1986 I owned a Puch Maxi, same engine. I had back then the same idea. I played around an electric driven water pump from a washing machine to pump more air through the carburettor...but gave up because it could not pump sufficient quantities of air. No KZread or internet to look up how things worked in those days. The only information I had was a car magazine showing an illustration of a Renault 5 turbo engine... Well done... you did it 👍🏻

  • @KrustyKlown

    @KrustyKlown

    Why zero charge pressure?? .. when the piston is blocking all the transfer & exhaust ports, the turbo charger will add pressure to the crankcase, thus increasing the fuel/air charge in the crankcase.

    He’s right you might see a small amount of boost on the gauge but when the piston comes down opening the exhaust first then the transfers all that boost you have just captured in you crank case just pisses out the open exhaust your not gaining and extra compression/capacity as when the exhaust closes again you back to atmospheric pressure again, that top end power your getting is from the large expansion pipe Take the turbo off I bet you find it goes better Cool looking bike though

    @@roehle9962 no it wouldn’t be fudged scavenging is made by the cone on the exhaust that’s why it’s before the turbo then he uses what’s left of the pressure in the exhaust after the cone which isn’t a lot in a normal 2 stroke but since he has a separated crank case with it’s own oil he can basically tune it like a 4 stroke and that’s why it takes so long to build boost but when it does it really pulls

    nice little puch you got there! and i know what you mean with projects, they will never get finished, completly. But hook that rear brake on also, dont even got a engine break on a motor like that in case of wire snap on front breake. And put a boost gauge on that turbo, doesnt sound like it boosts much, maybe shut the wg completly to help it spool up and hold boost? And the oiling system, maybe use a programable timer relay ebays special? have it go on and off once every 30s or so. Otherwise, how big is the hole into the oil inlet on the turbo? dont need much more then a toothpick sized for oiling usually on like car turbos. Me myself have a yamaha dt50mx from 87, twostroke aircooled. Did as much as i could on that engine in tuningparts, 70cc, better exhaust, 24mm "mikuni", high compression head. Changed all the bearings and gaskets, then the only bearing i didnt change completly shit the fan after re-assembly first drive, then i said to hell with it. Got a used yamaha 80cc mx watercooled engine, 22hp, fitted pretty good, some new motormounths, now it runs like crasy haha

    I'm assuming your looking at a piranha/zonshen 212 and not a predator 212. Something like that won't fit this bike unless you are willing to cut it and re weld new motor mounts or get a little creative. If you look at my other videos, I have a bike I call shitbike, it is essentially the same platform but I modified it to work with a motor very similar. Any bike utilizing a honda style motor that the 212 knock off is based on it "should" fit. I don't own anything with that engine so I can't say for sure. With this platform if you make a piece of steel with that mount pattern and the factory mounts you can make it work. Literally a piece of 1/4 inch steel, some spacers, and some longer bolts. Just don't tell the purists, they get really upset when people do these kind of things ;)

    I have a look around here and apparently almost no one knows how a 2 stroke works. the purge ports are always open at the same time as the exhaust port. that's why people also place expansion exhausts. everything boost you make is immediately blown into your exhaust. then you put so much money into a moped and then you don't have the basics right, too bad.

    He feels the boost, but its actually just getting into the powerban. He could make the boost work though witha little bit of work.

    If you had any idea how performance two-strokes(and turbocharging) work you would understand turbocharging two-strokes works fine... This specific setup probably doesn't work great though(That turbo seems quite huge).

    Try contacting one of the English moped racing clubs, they seem to get these little engines to fly without the aid of turbo charges.
